Actually, FYI, The USDA Convinces People It's Healthy When It's Really Not. Read Skinny Bitch, And Than You'll See If You Wanna Be Vegan!

People who don't eat meat lose an important chemical found in meat called B12. Without B12 your brain will have a hard time working and in most cases causes brain shrinkage.

i'm guessing animal cruelty concerns and arguments that our bodies are meant to be vegetarian (flat teeth, longer intestines, ect).

yeah somehow it sounds that it was created because people didn't like seeing animals slaughtered.
But I didn't know, wow really if you're like a lifetime veggie, do you really get flat teeth and longer intestines?
That's interesting!

Not all people become vegetarians because of animal cruelty some do it because they don't necessarily like the taste of meat or chicken. I, personally, became a vegetarian because I don't like the taste of meat or chicken though animal cruelty took part in my decision. Also, I eat fish, so my health is not a problem, some vegetarians don't mind eating fish.. I don't know exactly why they dont mind but some don't. There is a big disagreement on wether you should be considered a vegetarian if you eat fish going on right now.

BTW There are different types of vegetarians. Vegetarians come in categories. Lacto-ovo vegetarians consume eggs & milk. Lacto vegetarians consume milk but no eggs. Ovo vegetarians eat eggs but don't drink milk. Then there are pescatarians (also spelled pescetarian) who don't consume meat or animal flesh except for fish. And they do this due to health reasons or as a stepping stone to becoming vegetarians.
Many vegetarians do not eat gelatin (contains animal bones) and rennett (inner lining of calf's stomach).
Then there are flexitarians. Describes those who eat a mostly vegetarian diet, but occasionally eat meat. This is a new concept but it is looked down upon by 'true' vegetarians.
Vegans ( i have the highest respect for them) do not consume ANY animal product such as honey, milk, leather, rennett, eggs, etc (you get the point -- if it comes from an animal they won't consume it)

If people weren't supposed to eat animals, then they wouldn't have been made of meat.
