What actually spark your intrest to watch this??

the very first episode of this show is actually really lame and boring, and if someone was judging which anime's to watch based on the first two episodes, i think this one would get skipped quite easily... but damn... this is freaky stuff....

I dont really know what made me decide to give this anime a try, i think it was just random anime watching lol, but i'm very glad i did watch it lol, one of the best anime's i've seen

First I thought it was quiet boring, but after watching a couple of episodes I was amazed. One other reason is of course Rika-Chan ,ni-paa, and the rest of the characters.

at first i watched it and then all the crap wint down and i thought it was over at ep 4...lol
than about two weeks later i was watching it again and they where all back,i was like FTW lol

Believe it or not, the reason I started watching Higurashi was an AMV from the band Frou Frou. It was so...creepy and different. Before I knew it, I found myself watching the first episode, and then...Well, two seasons later, I'm a huge fan XD

i saw that it was mentioned as a great funny gory interesting anime in a shitload of places so i decided to watch it. and i dont regret it a tiny bit

I started to watch this beacuse my friend forced me to watch the most violent part of the anime. Then we watched the first episode in the anime club we have at my school I got curious how things could go so wrong so I watched it here

I saw this, and read the synopsis, and was like, hmm, sounds interesting. When I watched the first ep, I was blown away. I had never seen anything so VIOLENT or bloody. (And yes, I saw Elfen Lied,and it was overrated!) I've been hooked ever since.

well, i saw the pic of the anime and the summary which look contrary to each other. that's what made me to watch it.hahaha

i started waching this because iv seen clips of it and it seemed interesting and i wanted to see what happened

I started to watch this because I accidentaly find it out xD, but when I looked at the description of this show it was very interesting and because I like the drawing style of this show, and this show exceeded my expectations

I have a bit of a weakness to blood and guts, so when I heard about this anime, I originally stayed away....However, I ended up reading a bit about the story and found it to be interesting....But, because I couldn't stand blood, I still couldn't bring myself to watch it. After a LOOOOONG Time, I said, "Ah, screw it. I'll probably be really grossed out by the gore, but I want to watch it so much, I don't even care anymore!!!"
So, I watched it.

I love its craziness in the story:)

I started to watch this because of the blood... I like it... And I like the anime too, even though it's very complicated for someone like me to understand

I saw the video of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri on G4's (once it was called Tech TV) Noctural Emissions and the OP--Nageki no Mori by Ayane--got me hooked so I looked it up. The story piqued my interest (since I'm a horror/murder/mystery and supernatural fan) and so I started watching it last night....couldn't sleep after that. XD
