Um, at my Elementary School, I volunteered for Safety Patrol, Library Monitor, a helper for the Scholastic Book Fair, Assembly Musicians and I think thats about it <.> I'm not sure if that counts as "Volunteer Work"

volunteering = today's equivalent to slavery

Damn you Canada.

Disagree, when you volunteer you do it willingly, you aren't forced. Slavery, Canada saved slaves from the US a long time ago!

I wish it was like that . But no , it`s not . Before I can graduate ,
I need to have 40 hours of community service . So much for
volunteering to be nice . >.> That ruins it all .

well to be honest I dont do much volunteering work.. since I couldnt find the time with school and all... but now when I finish my finals this year I'll take a year out of the calender and be a volunteer already got accepted to help out at a hospital in Wales starting this year... tho I have to say that main reason I do this is to get a moment in my life that I will always remember... and leaving the country and staying in another was what I wanted to do... this way I dont have to worry about food and a place to stay since thats the pay for helping out at the hospital...

but I would prolly never do it when I come back to denmark

Need 40 hours to graduate.

Thing is, I worked at a thrift store for 16 hours, so it smelled like shit.

But hey.
I could either be running files and shit through a hospital, or sending out used panties.

It sounded like a pretty nice deal.

I volunteered at the a horse riding center for the disabled when I was in high school. Also volunteered at the Humane Society, which wasn't a very good idea because I wanted to take every dog home...lol.

I used to volunteer a lot at church, especially in the nursery. And I volunteered at a children's program thing, which had nothing to do with my church. I quit it because I had to take the bus there every Saturday, really early. It started to get pretty tedious.

Out of 40 hours I need to graduate, only 3 are accounted for. Luckily, there's still more time....I think.
