i watched this last night and it's pretty informative, basically the defense industry in this country sets foreign policy. Have you noticed that almost every time we get a new president we kinda go to war with someone

bush 1 iraq
bush 2 iraq
reagan grenada
clinton somila

not sure about carter

what do you all think about it?

peace

lol i think theres a lot more than just the defense industry involved with creating our foreign policy. you forgot energy companies, engineering firms and multinational banking firms.

huh, i was just watching it in history class today....well, i didnt get to see much of it, but......i just think it sucks how we really dont have as much faith in our own country(america) in fighting or choosing to be in this war. so many people have different opinions on why we fight and im pretty sure there are things going on behind closed doors, too.

Didn't see the documentary, but will be looking for it.. I don't know why we fight, be it natural resources, religion, or political regime. I just wish that humanity could come together and recognize that we are one.

I think it sucks that this kind of war-mongering is still going on in this world, even today.
War creates profit for those who sells the weapons, tanks, battle cruises and jet planes.
Huge sums of it too.
So i don't think it's gonna stop anytime soon

If the world would be peace for even one minute.... That would mark the begining of the end of the world....

Cause in every part of the world there will be chaos....

I've seen this one on Nat Geo. Maybe.

Well, let's just say that the balance of the world lies within the good and the evil, just like Tao said. You know? Yin and Yang? (Please don't quote what I just said and explain everything . It'll just give me some headache <_<; )

But if there will be peace all over the world again, then the balance of Evil will spread and Chaos shall blindly turn the Good upside down. It's like Payback Time, only even worst because 'Peace' itself was turning it's back on the reality that they chose.
Also, to the fact that "there will be an evil sentry, everywhere we go" is true, since it's been in around us for ages already. Crimes, Politics, Corruption, etc...

Ehh, that's what I think.
Which only means that doing good will somehow be pointless.
