1) Which position(s) do you want?

Forum Moderator

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)

I am on a lot. I have spoken before. I try to be nice to people, but I don't like when things get out of hand. I like to go around and find unnecessary threads. I have not reported any but I try to tell the person that it was not the right type of thread to make that would stay in line of not breaking the rules or just are plain ridiculous. Although I have been rude to people in the threads.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?

Anime.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?

I will refer them to a thread that will give them the information they are looking for and then close the thread if it is a duplicate. If they are just being hostile I will explain the situation to the best I can and then end it there. Although if the person only needs some convincing I will try to make that person understand better.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?

A lot. About from when I get home, 3:15 P.M. until 4:00 A.M.

Forum Moderator

I admit, I’m not as active on the forums as I use to be. But if I want to be active, I can. The only reason I’ve been “stopping” is because of all the flaming. @_@ Anyways, in the past I’ve reported many threads and I’m quite good with the search engine. Also, I’m quite good at not losing my temper. In reality I’m not so good but over the internet, I can stop myself from typing something rude. And as a peer, I think mods have a huge influence on users. For example, if a mod told me I sucked, I’d be scarred for life. >_> Which means a moderator should have a good temper. Besides, flaming when the rules clearly state no flaming is a bad example.

Experience: Meh. Not much but since being a moderator is a leadership thing...I volunteer for stuff at school...Library Monitor, Safety Patrol, Assembly Duties, etc.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?

Anime. I always use ANN to find out which series are licensed, producer company (for example, animes produced by GONZO aren’t allowed to be uploaded here) I am also very familiar with the media search engine.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?

Just like with my teacher, 3 strikes and your out. I’m only willing to give out 3 warnings to a user before clicking the ban button. I won’t give warnings out that easily though. I won’t give a warning as soon as someone flames. I will only give a warning if they are a repeat offender. I warn them. They keep on “offending.” Another warning. They dare keep on breaking the rules? BAN. Although I think I’d only ban for 3 days at most though. Most repeat offenders are use to the ban and have other accounts, to prevent them from making another account, I want to make the sentence as short as possible. As for nuking, I doubt I will ever feel a user is that bad to deserve to be nuked. After all, a nuke is a big thing, not ban, it takes away EVERYTHING. @_@ When warning people though, I’ll try my best to say it as nicely yet as serious as possible. I can’t exactly send a PM saying: Hi! Can you stop flaming please? It’s kind of mean and hurts peoples’ feelings and it’s against the rules. I’d really appreciate it if you tried your best to stop. Oh, and this is a warning. <~ Like that’d do anything. -.-

If a user requests a explanation regarding why he or she was banned, I’ll gladly give it. Although if I get a truckload of PM’s asking for that…I might take a little while to reply to everything.

I’ll admit, I might have difficulties banning some people. Namingly, people I and buddies with or people I respect. However, I’ll try my very VERY best not to let my personal feelings get into the way of mod duties.

I’m not sure if this is right or whatever but for spambots, instant nuke. I won’t bother giving a warning. I mean, its just a waste of time…right?

Users that are spamming and I know they aren’t bots... I’ll PM them. Afterwards, if I find anymore more recent spam from them, another warning. Then a ban. The reason I’m not giving 3 warnings for users spamming is because spamming isn’t that hard to stop, having one warning is just to make you realize your spamming. Unlike flaming, which is hard to control sometimes.

I have absolutely 0 experience when it comes to moding. >.> But since being a moderator is having leadership, I have some experience with that. To be honest, I’d prefer staying in the shadows listening to someone’s orders, way easier. I’m surprisingly obedient sometimes. O.o I like to think of it this way, being a mod is enforcing the rules, enforcing the rules because it is shinji’s orders. Oh, hey look! I’m following instructions. =) I’m a quick learner too.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?

I have no life. Okay, I kind of have one. But the point is, most of my after school & weekend time is spent on the computer. Not all of it is focused only on crunchyroll, but I almost always have CR on a tab or something.

1) Which position(s) do you want?
* Forum Moderator

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
* I owned forums in the past, and I know how it feels when the forum you worked so hard for and cherish
is being invaded with spams and inappropriate posts by ignorant people. I like it when a forum is clean with intelligent posts and I always implement this in my forums in the past whenever I'm a moderator, so, I have experience in dealing with spammers and how I can handle them.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?
* I am most familiar with Anime and Dramas.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?
* It depends on the situation. I analyze a situation carefully and see if a user has crossed his or her boundaries/limitations. Unless someone has done something wrong in a "drastic" way, I am willing to take immediate action after I have heard from all sides and judge from there. I know what spam is, and I've seen it many times before, and because of that, I simply cannot tolerate it.

I will handle hostile CR users with a sense of justice and fairness. I know that every member here is different in terms of attitude and conduct, but everyone is expected to know your limitations when it comes to respect to the staff, and to other members of the community. I will warn and give punishments to them based on the damage they've given to the community, and to the forum in general.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?
* I am spend at least 5-8 hours a day in CR, idling or watching videos or posting in forum topics that interest me. Today is summer period for me so I can fully spend my time more with the CrunchyRoll community.

1) Which position(s) do you want?
Forum moderator

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
I had been editing my school club's magazine. I had a lot of experiences dealing with words and I mastered my English very well both speaking and writing. It will be not a problem for me in doing forum job. I can read in an amusing speed and doubtless i can easily adapt in a new environment easily especially dealing with words. I'm a person that is active in society and I cleary know what is happening around so I won't be outdated quickly in da forums.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?
Both anime and drama. I watched few anime series and I always catch up with Hongkong TVB dramas as well as Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and some Singaporean and Malaysian dramas as well.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?
Well, cr users is like customers for crunchyroll. Apart from getting the hot and latest videos from Asian countries, it is a website for interaction between cr users. Forum is the best example apart from the chatting zone. I can deal those hostile cr users by using proper manners and best way to handle repeated forums or even fouled forums without causing any dissatisfication from any side. Apart from that, my moderation style is always cooperate with other forum moderators in dealing any circumstances. I will give my best ideas and accept any disagreement without causing troubles. I always give my best advise to other cr users on using the forum section in proper way. I will improve myself in the progress of moderation and I will not forget my responsibilities in cr.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?

Well, in one word 'always'. I made cr website as my homepage. As now I had my very own laptop, I can access to internet at anytime. I always spend my 2/3 of my time during online in cr reading forum post, watching latest videos, setting up my profile, getting to know friends and uploading videos as well. Though I'm not a cr supporter due to financial problems, I felt it is one of my favourites in getting involved in the community.
If I am selected for being a forum moderator, I will definetely spend even more time on cr doing my duty. I'll dedicate the time needed in nights and days as I had no job and have much of free time to spend with cr.

thanks for your consideration!

I would like to be a Media Mod.

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
Well, i'm usually online. I have a lot of spare time. I would try my best to help make CR better. Becuz i have realized that there have been some slow approving for some of the CR videos. And i hope i can help fasten things up. I do things quick. I might be messy once in a while, but i can also be very organize when i want to. When i'm doing something, i put a lot of my effort into it.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?
I'm a drama addict, so i'm really familiar with it. And i love listening to music, so i'm familar with a lot of musicians.

4) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?
Im on almost most of the time. Im just usually invisible though. And if i get this job, i wouldn't mind other CR members to pm me or ask me questions and so on. I wouldn't be like some people and get so bothered. I'm patient with people. And i'm willing to lend a helping hand almost anytime. Im willing to dedicate most of my spare time. And i can stay up really late.

5) What is your timezone (in GMT)?
My timezone is -07:00 Arizona.

1. Media Mod.
2. If something is out of order it bugs me so i fix it. I guess you can call it neat freak or ocd or w.e. Same apply for cr. If i see something misspelled or missing I would want to fix it. Not sure if that helps but i also have exp with computer/programs. Built many computers and know how to use a range of programs. I also have been a mod for my gaming clan for counter-strike source.
3. Nothing but anime. I've watched to many...
4. I don't like arguments so I tend to solve them by talking it out and finding the best solution.
5. Mon-Fri, Sunday guranteed 4+ hours & Can be up to 11 hours. Saturdays im spending time with my family. I stay up often due to me being a vampire (nocturnal). My dedication is very high with cr. Meaning hours almost everyday. Guaranteed to get work done.

1) Which position(s) do you want?
Media Moderator

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
Because of the nature of the Media Mod position, most of my work will depend on skills in the handling of users, organization and resourcefulness, as well as prudence, patience, and common sense. Fortunately, these are things I posses, as I hope my reviewers will notice as they peruse my history on the site. That being said, the media mod position is well in the range of my skill set. However, I believe that my skills aren't nearly as important here as my behavior and other attributes. I have devoted a great deal of time to Japanese media, and more specifically CR, and I have therefore developed a worthy idea of how this site functions. I have a great deal of commitment to CR, though it shows in ways other than uploading. I manage groups, help users, answer questions and requests, and in general do my best to help out within the constraints of a normal user. Through these gestures I believe that I have shown my devotion, my reliability, my maturity, and my trustworthiness. I think these traits are critical to any position of responsibility, more so than any other skill. If I become a media mod, I can be trusted to act responsibly, and to do my best to do my part.

As far as what actual experience I have, I can list a few subjects. Ignoring the fact that I've watched Asian media in excess for quite a while, I still have quite a bit going for me. Though I was unable to attain a position as a grammar checker for the CR Fansub group (which I think would have supported my claims to commitment a bit more, lol), I have current experience as an editor in a fansub group, and have been immersed in the workings of Asian media fans for quite some time. Moreover, I have gained experience working with videos, organizing files, getting work done promptly, and have developed many other skills critical to being part of a fansub group. As I briefly mentioned earlier, I have shown willingness to help through group moderating. Though I'm aware that my experiences in these groups are minute compared to those of a full moderator (managing 10000 members loosely obviously can't compare to the vast amount of members a moderator has to deal with), they have given me an idea of how to work with users, how to manage my time, and how to prioritize work. Balancing this with fansub duties has also given me a lot of experience in time management. I also realized that, while the work load can be stressful, work with the fans of Asian media is fun, and it's a pleasure to be of use to it's community.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?
Anime, Game, and Drama

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?
N/A

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?
Mon.-Thurs.: 7-8 avg.
Fri.-Sun.: 8-12 avg.

I can only guaruntee a dedication of 5-7 hours of time to CR. However, in a position of responsibility, I would be willing to give more time as necessary.

6) What is your timezone (in GMT)?
Eastern Standard Time or GMT-5
Eastern Daylight Time or GMT-4

I'd also like to note that I'll soon be moving to the Netherlands, in which scenario my time zone will shift to GMT +1. (Effective this August)

Thank you for your consideration. I realize that brevity and conciseness are not always within my skill set.

I try to be organised but most things don't come out the way you plan them
