Why do people hate unrealistic animes?

that's why it's an anime. not real life.

Because it isn't easy to follow and you know that it would never happen. So most likely you are not going to believe it and you won't enjoy it as easily.

well actually i luv unrealistic ones and on the contrary i despise realistic ones cuz i find em B-O-R-I-N-G and so do alot of people which is probably the reason why people watch anime and don't go off and watch some random show on T.V. no if i wanted to see something REALISTIC i walk inside my school and throw a bag of chips on the floor lol XD but ok anyway so uh yeah?

That's not true.

It really only depends on the person's personality/likings.

if they don't like a make-believe story, then they don't like it....

It doesn't concern mangakas showing their wild imagination, it concerns the person's liking to a certain anime genre, that's why we have different kind of genre, to satisfy almost everyone.

totally agree......everyone loves a different kind of anime....so what? Personally, i love all kinds of animes.... and if people hate a specific genre anime, then so be it......

I think it should depends on what type of anime and what is the theme.

If the anime takes place in modern time and for example is sports related (soccer, baskeball, and such). It is better for it to be realistic instead of defying the laws of gravity and physics.

But if it is sci-fi, then it really depends on the style, but generally speaking. sci-fi don;t have to be as realistic.

If I want real sports, I can turn on my tv you know. that's why I have a preference towards unrealistic sports than realistic ones.

Why? Animes don't equal to real life. Sure I don't mind you prefer realistic animes to unrealistic ones, but why you guys like to grade the quality of an anime based on whether it's realistic or not? Mangakas usually express their wild imagination through the mangas they draw and the extra special effects and colours are only added by anime studios.

sport animes are an example. Prince of Tennis, Ring Ni Kakero and other over the top series.

Because there are some faggots out there that are very closed minded and cant tell that anime is only anime.

Not really, opening the TV gives you a game. While anime gives you a story, and perspective of players. Its just 2 completely different things. I mean what part of unrealistic sport in anime do you like?

realistic helps me to not always think of the world to be like a fantasy, and also its better to take a break from some intense or epic fighting or something..

unrealistic reminds me of why i watch animes, and also keeps my imagination going =)

it depends on the person's personality, or my bro bro's explanation for almost everythng "its cuz they're dumbasses"...

True but it does influenced people to actually play those sports. Let's just hope that they aren't taking it too seriously either...
