Not only is there no evidence for the claim that gays are worse parents than straights, but their argument is incredibly selective. Do they advocate the abolition of marriage for smokers, drug users, murderers, rapists, or even convicted child abusers? No. That's right, according to them, a pedophile can get married as long as he's straight because he'd only be a bad parent if he (or she) was gay.
-Gays can't have kids.
An offshoot of the previous one. And of course they don't apply this to the elderly or women who had their ovaries removed due to cancer, for example.
-My religion doesn't allow for gay marriage.
Too bad. We don't live in a theocracy and your religion therefore doesn't matter when it comes to making laws. Not only this, but the vast majority of the world religions don't condemn homosexuality the way that the three Abrahamic religions do. Why is your's more important than theirs?
For me, I don't mind if a gay couple wants to form a relationship, as long as it doesn't involve me. But for the fact, that some groups/people are truly agaisnt it with no better reason, that I've heard so far (if we are not going to count YouAreDumb's statement's) makes me sick and want to be ashamed of myself.
My answer would be, that I'm not against the gay marriage anyhow, and whatsoever.
But I would like to point out, that anti-gay advocates having arguments about this topic and taking it too personally doesn't help them nor make changes that way...
