would anyone agree that tezuka is kinda well overrated? i mean he's good..dont get me wrong but the way ppl in the show describe him and how they react to his presence make him seem like a god at tennis or something...lol

say wat u think..and why.

You're questioning the reality of an Anime? Come the fuck on. Majority of the high spin moves are overly exaggerated and impossible to do. Boomerang snake, Atobe's like hit the racquet smash, zero shiki drop shot, and the ride the net drop shot thing.

They talk about him that way because he is their leader and hes supposed to be the "pillar" which was the whole point of majority of the series.

lol i think u have the wrong idea...im not questioning the reality of the show...of course most of it is impossible....but if the series had normal tennis hits and serves then it would be like reallllllly borring...im just saying that whenever ppl hear tezuka's name or see him..they''re like "omg omg omg" and all but he's not like THAAAT good as they say he is.....he is good dont get me wrong, prolly like the 4th or 3rd best in the series but all im saying is that the way the anime show how the other ppl react to tezuka kinda makes him look better than he is....u catch my drift?

if you're going to talk about impossible, then what Ryoma did on the first episode was impossible, where he played against the older kid and was being cheated so Ryoma decided to lob the ball and make it stop right on the line, i mean how in the world could you do that in real life? I cant even do that if i tossed the ball from like 2 inches off the floor. If you figure out how to do it then tell me and i'll give you a $1000. JK

If Tezuka is overrated then ryoma is over rated and the whole show would not be a success

Tezuka Zone is just adding extra opposite spin to the ball so when the opponent hits the ball, the ball spins to the opposite direction which is towards Tezuka...
i think the most impossible move is the Phantom Ball!!!
these technique can be possible if u know how to add lots of spin to the ball when u hit!! MAYBE!! hahaha...

no...it is not possible

Only person thats better than him is the guy that Ryoma versed in the manga at nationals and Ryoma himself. Sanada can be debated, but luck won him that game because they are basically even.

He is made out to be the best because he is Seigaku's pillar during majority of the series. They all compare themselves to him because he is the "marker" of the aces of each team. All the aces have to surpass him in order to win against Seigaku.

Its not that hes made out better than he is, its that others improved to be able to catch his large shadow that hes had over them. Keep in mind he was ownage when he was a freshman and he hasn't been practicing against anyone with his dominate hand for about 2-3 years.

and i forgot to mention the tezuka zone..i think out of all the special moves in PoT, tezuka has got to be the most impossible

I don't think that he is. He pretty much is a god in Prince of Tennis. I wouldn't say that the Tezuka Zone is impossible because all it requires is the right rotation, so I say that it's possible, even if it's just 1-5%.

The only thing I didn't like is that they're all in MIDDLE SCHOOL.
Oh and just found this, Tezuka is only 14, that's right, 14 years old!

i think he is because we have barely seen him play until nationals and he only seems to have like four techniques: Tezuka Zone (and Phantom), Zero Shiki Drop, Hyaku ren jitoku no kiwami, and saiki kampatsu no kiwami. At least everyone else has shown their talent but the anime always seems to make him to be like the ultimate player. Ryoma at least can create new techniques in order to handle any difficulties but tezuka doesn't
