Incarna on June 21 - finally.

Also, DUST 514 is apparently 1 day, and 16 hours away from release as of this post:

TaedrinGranted, it definitely isn't for everyone: it requires a certain amount of cunning, intelligence and paranoia to avoid getting burned in that game.

Just remember, when somebody says in local "I'm quitting EVE and giving away all my assets in exchange for 1 unit of Tritanium" or similar wording, just block that user. Simple as that. No burn there :)

As for 0.0 politics: well, get ready for anything.

Dust 514 is most certainly NOT coming out tomorrow. This is likely when they will ANNOUNCE the release date and provide lots more information about how exactly the game will be like, how it will tie into EVE Online exactly, how the microtransaction based pay structure will work, etc etc...

It would be impossible to release the game tomorrow, unless the game is only distributed digitally. Even then, such a distribution channel would require cooperation from third parties who would be more than likely to spill the beans far ahead of time.

The current speculation is that this coincides with one of Sony's press releases, so there are a lot of ungrounded fears that Dust 514 will be a PS3 exclusive.

Yeah, jumped the gun there.

Yesterday after the announcement, everybody I heard on TS or saw in any chat channel blasted the decision to go PS3 exclusive. I don't agree with it either, but CCP will do what they want.

I don't know why they went that direction, its only going to limit the amount of people who play dust, and a lot of people still concerned with the security breach Sony had, bad decision imo.

Ive played since 2007, but logging in becomes a chore when you need 3 accounts to use your main pilot.

Doomsdaying jump freighters is pretty awesome though.

I have been playing this about 2 years now. Complexity of this game is really attracting. Tried pretty much everything this game has to offer. Mining, trading, hauling, manufacturing, PVE, PVP, exploration, wormholes, ect...

I´m mostly interested in small scale PVP, but have done some bigger lagfest fights too. Usually I make my ISK(=money) with doing anomalys in 0.0 or missioning in highsec.

This game really is directed to older persons. Every younger one which I have known has stopped playing after couple months or so... I think it is because younger persons dont have enough patience. Everything takes so much time, skill training particularly. Every person in my corporation is over 20 and some are over 40.

But definitely worth trying if you have any interest in space MMO.

I've been playing since 2007 and have been a 0.0 player the whole time. I quit this year though.

I don't really recommend anyone trying it.

They are extremely cheap in terms how much they want to invest into it, as though they wished they didn't even own it but had to work on it because someone said a few people left on earth are still paying for it. It goes through the motions, but feels like a zombie project that doesn't know its dead yet.

I originally made my account in summer 2007 and played off and on a few months at a time until I quit sometime in 2010. I haven't had any time to play much mmo's or mmorpg's in a while.

Still have an active account - it's what I went to after Earth and Beyond died. It's an incredibly complex game for a single person to play alone. However, if you have people you can play with, things tend to pick up real quick. I like it because I can train my stuff while I am logged out. Since I have a life, that makes keeping with this game all the more possible.

I play it from time to time, im 0.0 and all i do is pvp and exploration. I feel sorry for the people who mine and run anoms all day, those are super boring. I saved up some isk and bought a dozen plex's so i just log on to fix the skill queue and pvp if theres anything going on

I played this for awhile back around 2007 or 2008. I joined a large corp and got involved in some 0.0 fleet battles, it was pretty fun I suppose. Eventually I got tired of waiting for my skills to go up for better ships and got bored with what the game offered so I stopped playing. From what I have heard the way it is now, everyone is filthy rich and there are hundreds of titans flying around. When I played there was only 11, and those were annoying enough. Doomsday's are crazy.

Iain Zigmura - notoriously bad Incursus pilot, FC and ~almost~ corp director.

Hit me up.
