It has been confirmed 100% that the XB360 is moving to a 60g HDD standard. Those configurations are in design verification testing right now. It is said that this changeover also contributed to the lack of units. When Microsoft changes major sub-assemblies like this, they try not to over produce the old configurations.

This is a very great time for 360 current owners and people who wish to own a 360. How you ask?

Current owners of 360s:

1. The 20gb will probably move to arcade and 60 gb as premium (meaning game developers can add cache to all their games). Faster loading times are always great.

2.Bigger downloadable content. Well the PS3 has a larger "sized" disks but the 360 has the ability to store half of a game on a HDD. Meaning LONGER gameplay on newer games.

People who wish to own a 360:

1. Lower prices on all 360s (especially with the new chipsets around the corner).

2. Blu-Ray on 360? Get ready....it is not confirmed yet but it is almost very positive now that HD-DVD is out the door.

Couldn't get enough of Bioshock? Hopefully you answered, "yes" to that question
because Bioshock is here to stay... Bioshock 2, that is. Expected to be released
in the 4th quarter of 2009, Bioshock 2 is certainly a long ways from being complete.
Why release the news of Bioshock 2 so early? IGN speculates it is a strategic
plan to raise the value of the developing company, Take-Two, in order to profit
more from EA. Recently, EA has been trying to purchase Take-Two, and since the
first Bioshock has more than 2 million sales, it's fair to say that Take-Two is
making a smart financial move, to say the very least.

XBOX 360 is better than ps3 reasons.

--game selection: 360 is better
--system: 360 has a smaller hard drive but the save files are waaay smaller. i have the 80 gig for ps3 and with just a few save files and game updates i only had like 60 left. Heavenly Sword took like 3 gigabytes LOL. the 360 HD can last you so long especially if you dont really download any arcade games.
--controller: once you get used to the 360 controller (size) the buttons feel more comfortable especially the trigger/bumper positions. on the the ps3 the R2/L2 buttons arent always responsive and it just feels weird.
--online play: 360 ownz cuz EVERYONE has a headset haha. the only thing you have to worry about is foreign players that you cant understand like japanese players but you can easily set filters so that you only play with people who speak the same language.
--online store: the 360 marketplace is a lot more user friendly and appealing than the sony store. the sony store is really plain (its like all black, blue and white haha) and the organization of downloads suck.
--web browsing: you can actually surf the web on the ps3 like you could in the dreamcast which is cool but its like "whats the point" since basically everyone has a computer especially those who can afford a 360/ps3. and the stuff you can do on the web browser is still limited so its pretty weak.
--install OS: you can install Linux on the ps3 but just like web browsing, its pretty useless since most people have a computer anyway. also since ps3 game updates and saves take so much space people only partition like 10 gigabytes for the separate OS so you cant really do much with just 10 gigs haha. or at least i cant ><
--Graphics: i have a 32" HDTV and i use an HDMI and the HD components cables for both the ps3 and 360 so i get the best graphics possible. kinda lol. i have 1080i and not 1080p which is better but its still good. I'd have to say that the textures are smoother on most of the 360 games. i was playing Heavenly Sword and Resistance with an HDMI and it still looked pretty blocky/pixelated sometimes.
--Lastly for the 360:: people are all worried about the Red Light (Ring) of Death. well my answer is, if you get that, its just your xbox telling you to get a life haha cuz i've had the same 360 that i got right after its official release and i still havent gotten the red light yet. but probably because i dont ever play longer than 3 hours on any system including the 360. so if you play with moderation you'll be good to go for a long long time

so overall the 360 is better. o yea i forgot to mention the Blu-Ray player. i guess thats actually better since its pretty official that HD-DVD has lost the race for domination against Blu-Ray and that Blu-Ray is gonna be the next standard after DVDs. thats basically it. kinda long but this is an my conclusion of which is better after lots of experience playing with both systems.

This is very interesting.....very interesting indeed. Microsoft and Toshiba have worked close for the longest now.....but maybe not much longer. So far this is a rumor and is intended to be taken as one. Take it as you will though.

Marketing bigwig Jeff Bell says Microsoft has been talking to Blu-ray about the possibility of a partnership all along.

Warner Bros.'s recent decision to exclusively pick the Sony-championed disc format, and did not rule out the possibility MS will adopt it at some point in the future.

"We've been talking to Blu-ray all along because we have the best piece of software in the business, called HDi. It is the backbone that powers interactivity in HD-DVD and we have that available to potentially partner with others," Jeff Bell told 1UP.

"You never say never. I think we'd like to see how things evolve. Our commitment, however, to HD-DVD is profound and consistent, and we have done very, very well in term of our accessory sales.

With Blu-Ray ruling over HD-DVD so far it wouldn't surprise me.

Take it as a rumor.

blue]GTA4 the most expensive game ever?

The newest Grand Theft Auto game took a long time to make, and apparently, it was the most expensive. Rockstar Games let slip that the game supposedly cost $100 million to make. This breaks the previous record of $70 million. This massive figure is a sign of the video game industry's expansion, and a good reason not to pirate games. Funny thing is, Rockstar has gained all that money back (probably doubled it) in less then these 2 days.
