hahhah. Yeh all true. ^^^
The Philippines isn't going to change in this lifetime. Greed just overcast every Filipinos one way or another.
All we gonna do is watch and see if there is one honorable leader willing to make positive changes in the Philippines, without ending up dead in the process.

It's true. It maybe true that some Filipinos don't love Philippines because it seemed hopeless while the ones should be leading the country to prosperity are the ones pushing it deeper to poverty and misery.

But it is also true that majority of the Filipinos love the Philippines. It may not be visible, but many Filipino sectors are struggling for the development of the whole country. It is well-known today that, an agricultural country is one of the top rice importers of the world. This current issue is not caused by the Filipinos not loving the country, but by the negligence and exploitation of a few belonging to a social stratum, causing massive and systematic damage to the country. With this issue, the government has implemented anti-people policies and measurements and served the interests of foreign powers, mncs and tncs. In contrary, the farmers, who are the majority, who dearly love the lands they till, who want to protect the environment because not doing so would only bring them misery and destruction, are struggling for decades for them to own their tilled lands and against the anti-people and anti-environment government policies and programs. But with outright repression, those who gallantly struggle for their rights and freedom are murdered by the military and police as you would hear the news about human rights violations of the state.

I would surely guess, that before Asian countries have prospered to their present economic progress, land reform was genuinely implemented, as we can see in many kdrama and jdrama series. Economically, farmers who own their tilled lands generate surplus income that they consequently deposit in banks, making it available a capital to those establishing business in the urban areas, thus, triggering a systematic and cyclical economic development that would benefit the whole country. This kind of principle was never implemented and is not a part of the Philippine government that prioritizes foreign power over its people.

We can also see many Korean and of course Japanese brand cars while watching many series. It is also because that the mining and steel industry of those countries are nationalized, thus serving its national enterprises and pushing them to development. Unlike in the Philippines, the government is focused in selling the rich natural resources to other countries rather utilizing and developing its own basic industries.

Actually, when I watch kdrama and jdrama, I always take note of the countries development, like the subways, the bus rides, the cars, the roads, the apartments/condos, the schools, the sidewalk bars, the people that work, the rate that Horihita Maki received as part-timer in Deru Toko Demasho and others. Though, others may say that only a side of these societies are shown, we are in a way, exposed to how a country should be developed.

So I plea to our friends in Korea and Japan to understand fully the Philippines. It is not that Filipinos don't love the country, it is just that they are not led accordingly. I believed that your people believed your leaders because they were models of patriotism, service and honor, who are very different in the case of the Philippines.

When we went to Pasangjan, I forced my parents to take a boat because it would fun. However, they were not happy after taking a boat. They said that they would not take the boat again because they were sympathized the boatmen, for the boatmen were very poor and had a small frame. Most of people just took a boat and enjoyed it. But, my parents did not enjoy it because of love for them.

I always ponder about things poor ppl can do if they were given a chance to study like the rest. because im powerless as an individua i cant help em... but with everyones help i think we can even do better than koreans. for the sake of those unfortunate people we have obligation to do our best ....

just imagine our appearance into this world as legs of a table... if we don't have each corners support the table becomes unstable... but with everyone working as one we can prolly do it.....

btw i've heard that koreans have strong sense of patriotism. if youll notice most of their stuff are all made from korea.

we Filipinos don't love the Philippines that's why we became poorer and poorer.
Filipinos always want to be above each other that's why people do everything just to be rich and famous..
Like what politicians are doing..
worst..the fruit of their corruption isn't felt by themselves or by their family but by the millions of people who are relying on them.

..Just sharing my insights..^^

so TRUE..!

may be you were right.....we love ourselves more than we love our country. why? because we need to survive. we have to feed our families, too. filipinos are very productive, hardworking, intelligent. we are very talented in all aspects but we have to leave the country, work abroad and became slaves of other countries because there has no opportunities here coz of corrupt politicians.

why filipinos complain? because what we do is work..work...work...work...and still we are poor, still we can't support our families. but some of the people in government, all they have to do is sit, watch, have fun, and get our money for their pleasure.

we need a good leader that will love our country and people more than his/her pocket, then, may be, we will succeed.
