Well, i think people should be able dress/pierce themselves however they want. They just need to know that society will judge no matter what and for every decision there's a negative backlash. Earrings are a feminine trait and for a boy to be feminine in any way is severely looked down upon. (Compare that to when a girl acts masculine. It's treated as a positive quality. Completely unfair)

The entire idea of piercing the body, ear or otherwise, bothers me. I wouldn't ever consider wearing jewelry myself, and I also prefer girls who don't wear it.

I have guy friends with ears pierced both sides and it's fine, they don't get any rude comments and if they did the insulter probably be on the ground crying but nonetheless it's alright only if it suits you. Personally I like guys with piercings as long your whole body isn't drilled with holes. Nibbling at earrings on guys is always fun. ;3
