I dunno...
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of filipino dramas...
I find them quite annoying in fact...
Although their comedy movies (especially the old ones with Dolphy in it) are hillarious and worth watching at any age.
They had better do justice
I thought that wannabe Dream Girls drama was really lame though...
so well see...

Have you people seen Filipino dramas? I have and they're not good. They kind of remind me of Telemundo shows. I'm Filipino and even I don't like watching this stuff. My prediction is that the cast will look good, the acting will be over dramatic and the production value will be piss poor. Sorry to be a downer but this is how I feel about it.

I heard that the 2 giant networks in the philippines are gonna be doing franchises of popular asian series. First teaser I saw was "My Girl" originally a Korean series, which will now be given a Filipino flair with Kim Chiu and that gorgeous guy Gerald Anderson from ABS-CBN...and then I heard the rival network is also going to do franchises, I think the first one will be Kim Sam Soon with Regine Velasquez, I haven't seen any teasers from GMA (*are you getting a hint of which network I support*)...i just want to know how you feel about them...

personally, it's fine. i'm curious as to how they would make these foreign franchises Filipino. I mean it's still Asian, but i think Filipinos' culture have more of a western (American-slash-Spanish) inclination. I saw some previews of the "My Girl (Ph)" and I'm getting excited. Kim is just the perfect "My Girl", she's cute and clumsy-looking; Gerald is just gorgeous and I'm wondering how he's gonna act smug and pitiful at the same time; Nina is beautiful, she's more beautiful than her Korean counterpart; Enchong Dee looks promising too, he's the least who looked the part though.

The cast is looking great. Acting-wise, it's not serious drama, anyway, so I can overlook that. But it's gonna be fun. I'm curious to GMA's interpretation's too, especially Full House, although it's gonna be difficult for me because I've sworn my loyalty to ABS-CBN.

How about you, how do you feel about this kind of franchising?

Weird that's all ii have too say
