How many peoples read Sherlock before detective conan ? Am I one of the few? Holmes was my first love...sighs...I think I've read a good 95% of the stories and own three volumes of short stories. Really, to me the series isn't as interesting as the character of Sherlock.
I refuse to acknowledge the stories set after Holmes' fight with Moriarty where he's SUPPOSED to die but didn't. I don't like the ending where Holmes just retires happily somewhere. HE HAS TO DIE IN ACTION!
And the words are HARD...and ARCHAIC...
...This forum topic just reminded me to go read some Arsene Lupin...hmmm. Is Maurice Leblanc[sp?} any good?

Yup. I bought two volumes actually; however, I haven't finished reading ALL the short stories. [By the way, there's like 56 short stories and 4 novels.] Anyway, I recommend "The Sign of Four" (novel).

damn, it's been such a long time since I've read the Holmes books! it's amazing to think that i used to b obsessed with them. Mayba I'll read them this afternoon...

I dont exactly own the sign of four, but if you could tell me wat it was about, then i'll remember. its like the most famous story out of them all or something, but i remember I liked "a study in scarlet"...hmmm. need to refresh my holmes memory.

And btw, why don't you read some arsene lupin by maurice leblanc? there are translated ebooks if u google it. its really good and they have sherlock holmes in a few of them too. lupin is like the older, slightly more aggro version of Kaitou Kid. He's really awesome and a lot funnier than Sherlock Holmes. Actually, Sherlock Holmes is the one that's funny sometimes in the books! XPP leblanc is so cheeky sometimes.

I think I may have typed too much, but now on to the picture that i always put at the end of my posts:

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!
