there's no connection between MSG and WS.
thefinalworld's post explains it all.

i think that people are only confused because both movie had the same director and actress.
in addition, the last scene of WS and the first scene of MSG is the same, that's why.

^

The director put that in their as way in giving respect or homage to his first film...

it was just a cameo.

i think it will just depend on the own thoughts of people who watched the two movies. for me i watched MSG first then windstruck and just had the thought that it might be a story before sassy girl. just my 2 cents. with or without connection, both movies are still a good watch!! Image

its more like a cameo more than anything. see in windstruck, the girl was counting down how many days she had left. if u think in sassy girl, the dude and the girl meet when she's binge drinking since it was her old bf's deathdate.

and in windstruck, the dead dude was saying stuff like you will meet someone with a soul similar to mine and stuff like that.

in sassy girl, the new dude is actually related to the old dead dude. and they do meet (on his death date) in a subway.

if u remember in sassy girl, the girl did kind of act like a cop when they went into the bar.

but really, its all just a little connection for fans since there are temporal issues between the two movies.

Well, my sassy girl is suppose to be the events that happened after windstruck. The weird thing was, my sassy girl was filmed first:D.

it probably doesn't have to do anything about it, but if you watch the movie, you'll see that there's some aspect of the two movies that just intersect with each other.

e.g.
1. the ending of windstruck and beginning of my sassy girl are a bit similar.
2. How the aunt was suppose to introduce his nephew to his dead son's ex-girlfriend.
3. The personality of the lead girl and the name of the character is the same. [same actress].
