haha, I like this thread
My opinion:
Mangaka is Considered a Profession in Japan; They have Alot of Pride In their Hard Work. Hellooo, its a Japanese thing--
Don't take it away =P, Another thing I just wanna randomly Add, Manwha is not manga but represent simularities to manga; A Korean thing too
--If you call your self a Mangaka Artist and your not Japanese AND it doesn't reach up to par with their Rating
You should run farr awayy
They might kill you

Its not my opinion, but from a umm.. "UNidentified" Who is VERY Familiar with this Work.

Advice to The Mangaka Dreamers: Go For it!

Go for it but you'll never be featured in JUMP, Sunday, Magazine, or any other famous weekly magazine.

i think anyone who's not japanese couldn't make a manga or become a mangaka because manga and mangaka are exclusive terms in japan.. but non-japanese peeps can make comics and become a comic artist..

Just because it's call Manga doesn't mean ONLY japanese people can do it. We americans call it COMICS duh. Others such as manhwa, ect. so on so forth. Of course you can become an manga-ka that's if you want too, anythings possible. Right...? Go for it man.

loge00, if you put that manga out, i'm going to buy a copy and make dang sure i check it out, lol, i don't care if it's not shounen like i prefer to read. If you can make it dude, i'll be one to support you. Anyone can become a mangaka, there is no written law of the universe that states we can't, it's just simply elitism because they made something EVERYONE likes, and they want to monopolize it(or they wouldn't have a problem, that's how business works regretably ) that and the social class of readers just doesn't want change because they're afraid of things being stirred up too much, but variety is the spice of life people!!

I think it's just great how japanese people(and some from other parts of the world too) seem to think that Manga production is rightfully belonging to the Japanese, that anyone else making it is just like... i don't know, the 8th deadly sin or something. Come on, it's like trying to get something popular, and then telling people they can only like it to a certain extent..... oh wait, that's right!!!! that's what's already happening

Seriously anyone that has the skill, ambition, patience, and time to put towards manga should not be denied the chance just because of who they are. Sure the japanes put retard ammounts of time into it, it's like technology to americans, hockey to canadians, drinking for germans, etc etc etc. We all have things we're good at that other nations do as well because they like it, manga is NOT something on a higher pedistal that isn't included in that. People need to understand this, other nations can/will produce manga, but it will just take a little while for us/them to get good at it to the point where people really start liking it. And oh, here's a bonus for those who do make manga for their country, if it's popular enough to put into anime, it's going to come out a LOT faster in your own country
