riavan wrote: Yeah, I disagree with that. What annoys me is non-Japanese mangaka who write a manga in an English format (front to front and left to right) rather than the Japanese way, why would they do this? It's like destroying the biggest market for your books. Manhwa that I've read uses the English format too. At first I found it annoying that Manga, other than the Japanese format didn't follow the traditional way. But now I see it spoof like when western Manga mimics the Japanese format. |

Somehow.. I think japanese are the only ones that can actually bring out the feel of manga... I mean,,, I've read... korean mangas... (i didn't really like them)... and malay manga... now that sucked even worse.....
*sigh*...but then again... this is just my opinion... and mine alone... and everybody has different opinions... so don't get angry at me if you disagree... |

Well, manga is actually Japanese comics, so why will a comic be a manga if it's not Japanese made? But it is definitely a manga if it is first released in Japan, published in Japan,
Koreans have their own, its manhwa while the Americans, I don't know what they call their comics, or may e just plainly called "graphic novels" or more simple, "comics" EDIT: people who are not Japanese or do not live in Japan may not be a manga artist because manga means JAPANESE COMICS, but you can definitely be a great COMIC artist if you persevere, and if you really like it, go to Japan, publish your comics there and it will be an official manga now!:) |
