For AEG's
well a begining gun costs 100-200
(cyma, d-boys, jing jong, classic army, basically chinese made guns)

a decent gun costs 300-400
(ics classic army, tokyo marui, ics and classic army are made in taiwan i believe and tokyo marui in japan, but tokyo marui is made of a plastic body. However, it is compensated with its excellent internals)

excellent guns can be 450+
(I don't think you guys should be touching these guns yet)

gas guns are usually ranging 50-300, but I would suggest a 100$ one made by we-tech

here are some airsoft sites
www.redwolfairsoft.com
www.airsoftgi.com
www.airsoftextreme.com
(this one I heard has bad service)www.evike.com

In this thread you can share your experiences and maybe answers some questions (when asked) on gunplay and airsoft.
Airsoft guns and purposes and areas where you can play and requirements of membership and etc?

Airsoft is a combat sport similar to Paintball in which participants eliminate opponents by hitting them with (6 mm or occasionally 8 mm) plastic BBs (small, spherical balls) launched from airsoft guns, that can be powered by CO2, Green Gas, spring, or electrically powered gearboxes actuating a piston. Or, simply a chargable battery. Participants typically use varying types of weapons designed as replicas of real firearms, tactical gear, and accessories used by military and police organizations. Long popular in Asia, there is now a growing interest in airsoft weapons and events in North America and Europe.

My Cousin and his son loves to play airsoft. Too bad only because in my country, Airsoft is illegal because normal people(Including police) can't distinguish it from a real gun unless they look at it carefully and touch it.
They fear that it may be used in crimes because it can't be distinguished.
Btw I remember some man on the news that got his eyes almost blind after being shot with an airsoft by someone who was also stuck that time in the same crappy traffic.
Many people still play airsoft despite the law though

Wait... airsoft is ILLEGAL here in the Philippines?! O_o

I have a cheap $15 Walmart airsoft gun. It's fun, but be sure to wear protective gear.

With the cheap gun, I didn't stand much of a chance against people who have better arms. The accuracy of the cheap ones are incredibly low. Even with a clear shot, you'll be lucky to hit (whereas even a $50 gun can fire much more quickly and accurately, not to mention a much larger clip). Once I find a group who plays (and is newbie friendly ), I think that I'll buy good one.

There are airsoft play area in the Philippines. Local gun licensing units know this as there are countries that require license for these kinds of guns.

Ah, ok... whew... it was hard to believe that airsoft is illegal here because I see a lot of airsoft stores around my neighborhood and there's even a popular airsoft play area within walking distance of my house. I thought for a second there that they were doing something illegal XD
