Ok here is what we know: Tohoshinki's Bigeast Fanclub confirmed on April 3rd, that TVXQ would "suspend" their group activities in Japan "indefinitely". Suspend and "indefinitely" are the key words here. "Suspend" means that their work (performances, interviews, photoshoots, fanmeets, etc.) as a 5-member group, will pause/stop. But "indefinitely" means that there is NO EXACT length of time to determine how long it will be until we can see them as a 5-member group again in Japan. So this "pause" could be anywhere from days to months or longer. It really will depend on what happens with the outcome of the lawsuit. Keep in mind, this decision was made during a discussion between ALL 5 members and their Japanese label Avex entertainment. So they all must have felt that this was best for EVERYONE involved.

Now on April 14, it was announced that Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu would form a 3-member unit for 4 Live shows to be held in June at Osaka Dome and Tokyo Dome. Now this was a bit surprising, since the group suspension had just been announced less than 2 weeks earlier. Technically, these three members have the legal right to persue their own entertainment activities outside of their work as part of Tohoshinki/DBSK/TVXQ. But a lot of fans think this means that they do not want to work towards repairing their relationship with Yunho and Changmin and SM Entertainment.

So basically, we won't be seeing DBSK performing, or being interviewed as a 5-member group until there is a final judgement in the lawsuit between JaeChunSu and SM Entertainment. But all 5 members are currently working on their own projects in acting, singing, and modeling. It is sad to know that the members are divided like this, but at the same time, each of them has a duty to their own heart FIRST.

For the record, I personally DO NOT believe that the 3 members formed a separate unit to hurt Yunho and Changmin. I think this decision was done to send a message to SM Entertainment. I believe that message is that they don't want to be "pushed around" anymore and are taking the power of their future into their OWN hands! Now this is just MY OPINION, JaeChunSu have not made any official statement on the reasons behind forming a 3-member group, so please wait until we hear their own words before judging them on this decision.

Ok, I hope that answers your question. Always Keep the Faith.

Hello everybody :)

I'm a new fan and wish to buy some TVXQ CDs. However, after reading about the lawsuit and such, I do not want to give a penny to SM. My question is if AVEX shares the profit with SM or keeps it and shares with TVXQ members? I'm inclined to order their Japanese albums, like "T" (can't get enough of it ), "The Secret Code" and "The Best Selection 2010".

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Inariama. Welcome to the "fandom".

Feel free to purchase any of DBSK's Japanese CD's under the AVEX label. The "T" album is still my personal favorite out of thier Korean and Japanese albums! Since TVXQ has a separate contract with AVEX for their Japanese work, the compensation is different from the SM Contract. SM receives money from the Korean CD's and DVD's sold in Japan through AVEX so avoid the Korean versions of TVXQ merchandise but the Japanese produced work should be fine. Hope that answers your question.

Thank you both for the welcome and reply :)

I searched on Amazon.co.jp, this is where I order music from Japan, and TVXQ albums' labels are either Rhythm Zone, which I know is a subcompany of AVEX, or エイベックス・エンタテインメント, which Babel Fish translated as "[eibetsukusu] entertainment". I googled it and it seems those words are associated with AVEX. Could you or someone else please confirm it? I'd like to be 100% sure before ordering :)

Thank you!

edit: ah, never mind, I googled more and indeed エイベックス is AVEX. They even released "Mirotic" album under this label in Japan, I guess I'll add it to my list as well.

Your Welcome. That's what we're here for.

Oh and as for that Mirotic CD released in Japan...Be CAREFUL. The Mirotic Album is TVXQ's KOREAN album, so if you buy it, the money goes to SM Entertainment. If you want to hear the Japanese version of the "Mirotic" single, you can find it on their Japanese album, The Secret Code, under AVEX. Remember SM has been selling the Korean CD's and DVD's in Japan through AVEX but since these are the Korean works by TVXQ, SM get's most of that money.

Yikes, thank you for pointing this out, I somehow thought anything under Avex was safe. I will better wait until the lawsuit's settlement then and enjoy the downloaded "Mirotic", I know it's kind of wrong, but whatever. After I learned the guys received nothing for their work, I'm with those fans that feel very reluctant to support SM now..

Thanks you for your help, EmpressB7 :)

And I guess this goes to the Questions Thread as well - anyone knows what KM show this video was taken from, what exact date, the one where JaeJoong feeds Changmin with some fruit, or whatever it is?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLB_WGaQtps
There are more photos from that show/backstage, only I can't find any at this moment.

Hmmm, I recognize the clips but the pictures are really blurry. I know it's from the show I Love Show Tank and the date looks to be around the end of 2004 or beginning of 2005 just before they were leaving to work on their first Japanese Album. I think I saw the program a long time ago, back when CR still allowed users to upload videos. *mumbles foul words about CR * Heh, anyway... I tried to look the video up online but I can't seem to find that exact episode, and since I'm not too sure of the date it's even trickier. But I hope I gave you some idea to work with. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

You've helped enough Thank you, I will try searching for this show, I've already found many asian sites that have old shows uploaded, maybe I will be lucky there.

Update: I found both clips on Tudou, dated with 050202
