I watched the notebook but i havnt seen 51st date so i cant really say anything about it.. But comparing this with the notebook i think this is more emotional. I liked the notebook too but it wasnt as sensational and i kinda got more in to it towards the ending when you find out that the girls the old woman... But this is something else! I loved it

Jung Hee is kinda right but not for the notebook. Il Mare had an American film derived 100% from it called Lake House with Sandra Bullock in it. A moment to remember is based on the Japanese drama, which may have influenced 50 first dates but the stories are only similar with they have memory issues. One is alsheimers one is (cant spel haha) amnesia. so even that in itself isnt quite the same, leaving you with just the connection of how people deal with memory issues in a relationship.

The two have very different plot. 50 First Dates was indeed inspired by an Asian film, called Why Me Sweety, its an HK film..

And i dont know why people would try to compare this one to the Notebook, anyone who has seen this movie would say its very different with The Notebook. As you can see, the Notebook revolves around Noah and Allie's love story when they were young, the part where Allie has no Alzheimer yet. The Alzheimer disease was in the later part, chronologically speaking, when Allie was old.
