The first thing I did when i attended my first one...was cosplaying. I played the character of Haruhi from 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'. Even though it was hard making your own costume and squeezing yourself in between people, it was a lot of fun! Me and my friends went bought tons and tons of Anime DVD's, buying souveniers from stands around the mall...and actually seeing a live action of cosplayers (including me!!). At first, my parents didn't allow me to participate..You know, because the convention was too crowded . I was really excited, and at the same time...nervous.

So how about you?

we only have one convention including anime things in nz... not even that anime focused...

I ALSO ATTEND SOME ANIME CONVETIONS IT WAS FUN ... I DID NOT WERE ANY COSPLAY BUT I ALWAYS TAKING PICTURE WITH THEM..

I try to attend every convention in my home town. They got like 4 or 5 of them each year. I buy a butt load of dvds and other paraphenilia when I'm there. Oh and I have yet to build up enough guts to attempt to cosplay as an anime character.... but it is fun to see others do it....

Here in the Phil, there's this convention called 'Hataw Hanep Hero'...I attend that convention every year...hehe.

It's a convention where a lot of anime fans gathers.
It's done once a year, every month of november.... or I think it's December?

Well, it's a convention sponsored/hosted/lead by Hero Tv for otakus here in the Philippines . It's usually held at the SM Mall of Asia...but I don't know where it'll be next...BTW, the last convention was held during Dec.1-2 2007
