I've attended every London MCM Expo since October 2008, and during that time, I've also branched out to smaller Japanese cultural events. It's all been very exciting, and I can't decide which event I like the most! The London MCM Expo ends up being very tiring for me as I now attend all three days of it, but it's well worth it for the fun and the items they have available to buy. The smaller events generally lack in that area, but what they lack they gain in how interesting it is to learn about Japanese culture. I sometimes wish the MCM Expo was less anime/manga orientated, but I doubt that will happen. It's so popular now!

I have been attending Animenext, I-Con, and this year just started Comic-Con.
I never started to cosplay until this year, I've been going to Animenext for four years and I-Con for three. I thankfully met people on the way to help me make my cosplays, as I made Pyramid Head and Junpei Iori. I've been making a lot more friends at these cons now, mostly during this year and I love to go to these type of things. |

Volunteering at Anime Milwaukee 2012. It's fun. Hope there's not going to be a snowstorm again this year.

Went to Anime Boston last weekend. Really amazing, best weekend this year. Saw Crunchyroll staff there. Saw favorite voice actor. Bought lots of stuff. 40k+ attendees, TONS of great costumes. Definitely going back next year!

czarinaponseca wrote: The first thing I did when i attended my first one...was cosplaying. I played the character of Haruhi from 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'. Even though it was hard making your own costume and squeezing yourself in between people, it was a lot of fun! Me and my friends went bought tons and tons of Anime DVD's, buying souveniers from stands around the mall...and actually seeing a live action of cosplayers (including me!!). At first, my parents didn't allow me to participate..You know, because the convention was too crowded . I was really excited, and at the same time...nervous.So how about you? First thing I did was take out my phone and start taking pictures! lol I uploaded some on facebook. If you recognize any unidentified characters let me know. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.467951503216751.113151.100000057176789&type=3&l=65688cba6e I wanted to buy some Anime series on the Anime Expo this year but I saw some bootlegs and got pisst off and decided not too. |

Been doing cons since my first, which was Anime Expo 2006. It's been an interesting experience working into staffing the convention.
Each year things seem to get bigger and bigger! Between staffing, cosplay, partying, there's barely any time to sleep at conventions these days ._. I average 3-4 hours of sleep at AX.. |
