Gokusen is much better in teaching morale lessons.

but students in GTO are more violent, unimaginably violent !!!

but still, it's a great anime.. even though onizuka is a little naughty, he has a principle in life... haha..
like what others said.. it teaches the way of life..

of course there are moral lessons. There are some that go beyond it. They like...Reach into your heart and soul that helps us get over everything. He just has to make you like him. I want a teacher like him

its a given. i mean looking back at all the situation you realize that even teachers are human and that they can't choose who they get attracted to

I think the main lesson that this anime teaches is that you should always face up to your responsibilities like a man.
And also, you should never compromise on your own principles, for any reason.

yeah, it teaches a lot of lessons.
and not just the ones you learn inside the classroom.
GTO is one of the crunchiest animes for me

GTO I think teaches mainly that ridiculous situations should be addressed with equal absurdity. If you think about it... teachers being hard on the students and parents conspiring to get other people fired... it happens all the time in reality... and it's truly ridiculous! There is no need for it. So I think GTO is trying to point out the absurdities in every day life and saying that treating situations that are stupid with seriousness is giving those situations power, because that is what is expected of you.

And at first I thought some episodes were kinda stupid especially the ones where Onizuka dresses up... but then it hit me... Onizuka symbolizes the spirit of freedom and breaks off from the norm so much that no one knows what to do or how to stop it. I think that is important to remember in reality as well... if you just sit there and do what is expected then every absurdity of life will have the advantage on you!

it does bring some morals, but not for other parts,
like how he punishes the children, not appropriate for an adult,
also, how he ogles some of the girls there... wtf?

I thinking how he punishes children is an awesome version of 'tough love' . I would love to see the rude-ass kids today shown discipline Onizuka style.
And though he's a huge pervert, he never takes advantage of helpless girls.
And really, whats so wrong with being a pervert? ;P
