Oh hai, I just wanted to share my first experience. I've never went to a salon before but my friends said that I would look ridiculous with japanese hair since I'm not asian... That kinda ruined my hopes to try it out for around a month. I changed my mind cuz I thought it wouldn't hurt. Went to a salon in Little Tokyo since I didn't wanna take any chances with a non-asian salon. The peeps were nice and were understanding on the type of hair that I wanted. The catalogue was helpful too. This is how mah hair turned out:

I think it turned out good except I'm not sure about that Goatee... Kinda odd though cuz I asked for gatsby and they seemed to act as if it was a market Or maybe they told me to get it at a market. Anyways, they said that the product leaves ur hair dirty lol. Only problem now is that I haven't been able to duplicate it yet but I've only tried to do it once so far. Before my hair wouldn't stick up at all with wax or gel to spike it up until I learned about layer + thinning the hair. It used to easily spike when I was younger though...And DAMN, when they were washing mah hair it felt incredibly smooth like silk or something. I've never felt anything like it. Forgot to ask what shampoo it was though lol

Now all I need is asian clothing... What I has in pics are just average to meh

What was your first experience?

haha my first experience was 2 summers ago ;D haha
i was going to be a freshman and im a sophomore now, junior this year
. so i've always loved japanese and korean girls hair, how it's layered and choppy
because at first, mines was basically hair with now layers -_- but now (: hhaha
one day i was in my bathroom, i wanted to try how my hair would look like if i cut it. when i snipped some hair was like FUN! haha. then then i started cutting and layering my hair away, to be honest i had no idea of what i was doing. haha, but it turned out to be the way i've always wanted it, you have no idea how happy i was . lol. and yup! that's my first exprience with asian hair. haha.

ic and np... but meh emo is just a stereotype dude. who cares as long as it looks good? i thinks emo steal or get influenced from asian hairstyles. Doesnt matter either way really. i don't let labels pull me down to be someone I don't want to be. people say I look like L though lulz... and from that they know that I like hardcore music. so it describes me others also say that my face tells my softer side

Actually, I am part asian but it's not even half.. Ya, it kinda sounds stupid but I like asian style... American eagle? That's good idea, i probably should stick with american clothing and maybe mix it with asian hair. At least I won't look like a retarded poser. Thx!

I don't think he's trying to be "Azn", he just wants to try new things.

I must disagree with you. You just need to have a certain facial structure to look good in certain hair styles.
I once saw a Caucasian girl and her Asian friend with the same hair style waiting in line for something at a mall. I supposed you can consider the hair style an "Asian hair style" (wtf is that? ), and I must admit, the Caucasian girl looked way better with the hair style than her Asian counterpart, because the Caucasian girl had a more defined face. It's a matter of facial structure and what your face allows you to wear - not ethnicity.

I think the cut looks good on you, macguy. You might try blow drying the hair "upwards" after shampooing and conditioning so you can get a bit more volume at the crown of your head, then use the styling gel/putty/wax/whatever you use to style how you please.
