One Piece, at first I didn't like it because . . . I watched the censored Dubbed version, but after I started watching it in Japanese I was hooked. I have laughed, grew excited, and teared up a lot from watching this series. It reaches out and makes me feel a variety of feelings, and will be forever etched into my brain until the day I die. Every character is memorable, and it feels like your on the journey with them when I watch.

I have a shortlist of personal favorites-

Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann: This show is crazy and Kamina is the man. It's Mecha, and I don't normally watch Mecha as a rule, but it's 100% worth it for this series. Literally the entire point of the show is about spiraling out of control and that's exactly what the show does, including 'improbability missles' that when fired, search through alternate dimensions to find one where they hit their targets regardless of the direction they're fired in. Oh, and did I mention Kamina?

Gin Tama: This is really the show that you can't watch until you've watched a lot of other anime, etc as it's filled with Japanese pop culture references, but once you can understand what's going on this is decidedly the best comedic anime to date, and there's plenty of 'serious' arcs too.

Hellsing: Technically an OVA series, this show puts the awesome back into vampire. Literally begging to be watched. Also one of the few series with an acceptable dub.

Death Note: This show is an icon. Dark, serious, and thought provoking. It's everything that a mature show should be.

Baccano!: Another cool (and slightly lesser known) show, this one fuses prohibition era US with a mad alchemist who posesses the elixir of life. Also, entire english dub cast is acceptable until you get to Jaccuzi, but Jaccuzi's supposed to sound like a whiny little prick anyways so all is forgiven.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: The original worked, but despite the dark nature of the story it managed to be pretty immature. As the show's fans grew up, so did the show and rebooted itself as FMA:B. The original was good, but the author messed with a good thing and a masterpiece popped out. If you haven't seen it yet, go do that.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: In the same vein of Death Note, this show follows the mental state of an antihero protagonist with blood on his hands. Unlike Death Note, however, which focuses on the mental aspect, Geass trades some more thought-provoking scenes in for some excellent action, both in mechs and out of them. The dub is unfortunately ruined by nunnaly's performance, but the others are spot on if that's your thing.

Ill go on by saying that the new anime kokoro connect is an amazing anime to watch, now that I got a premium acc I started watching tons of anime in my ps3 and man is it amazing! Kokoro connect is a story mainly based in normal school life, you'll be surprised at the beginning because of its sudden turn of events but I personally think its a must watch. At the end of the anime there is a little sneak peak at the next episode and once the ending music starts up you get pumped up, amazing ending soundtrack. A must watch. I have countless others on my small but really strict list of animes I love, Ill start by saying that there is one anime which has absolutely changed my life and that is Onegai Teacher (Please Teacher since I watched it dub). This story of an alien girl meeting this normal boy is amazing (pg 18), which comes to tell you about another great anime. Ano matsu de materu, I myself am not a great anime name reader and even less rememberer but this anime has an extremely similar story as of Onegai teacher witch made it impossible for me to forget the name. One anime which is required in someones life is both Clannad, and Clannad After Story. These animes are guaranteed to make anyone cry altho I would not blame someone who would not since we all have different personalities. Of course these are my personal opinions and I'd be more than glad to hear an honest opinion from anyone. Send me your suggestions and opinions please.
