Ano Hana - It was simply beautiful. I enjoyed every episode; the story was quite intriguing and the ending left me speechless. Just simply beautiful. Please watch it if you haven't.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica - This wasn't the average magical girl anime I thought it was going to be when I first started it. It's more than that. The plot twists and psychological aspects made it much more interesting and worth watching. The story was also beautiful in this one and I enjoyed every episode. I got angry at some of the characters, felt what some of them felt, and knew what some were thinking. This goes to show how great of anime it is; I don't always connect with the characters of an anime, but I did with this one.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! - I loved the art, story, everything about it. I also connected with the characters in this series, and the story left a great message. Truly an inspirational anime; I enjoyed every second of it. The sorrow of not being able to be who you truly are due to society's view of the norm; that's what this anime is about. There are also cute and funny aspects to it, which I think are great additions.

I haven't seen many anime, but out of the ones I have, these are some of the best.

Some of my personal favorite anime right now are Blue Exorcist (Ao No Exorcist): The character development is great the story line is not to predicable, it balances action, drama, and comedy well. It is an all around wonderful anime with great artwork. Another wonderful anime is Canaan: It is has wonderful artwork, a truly developed story line with characters more unique then the next. If you like action I would recommend both, but if you like guns and military I would watch Canaan verses Blue Exorcist that is more magical based.

if you're looking for a series based on more realistic settings, i suggest Clannad. It is based on students in a Japanese high school and has elements of comedy, romance, and a touch of supernatural. Widely popular and one of my favorites

my fav is neon genesis evangelion, followed by garden of sinners ( kara no kyokai), you see, i love those animes that you have to pay attention to while watching, new ones i liked were bake/nisemonogatari and puella magi madoka magica and fate zero
the funniest anime ever would be baka to test,(ive never laughed harder )
the best romantic comedy would be eureka 7, followed by toradora ( to be honest, i havent watched that many^^, but im always open for suggestions)

I find Sukitte Ii na yo (Say "I love you") extremely good.
It has gotten mixed reviews, but i think that this love-story is perfect.
It captures a lot of emotions too!

It's like an easy 10/10 for me. Easy.

Loaded question. If I had to pick ONLY one it would have to be "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind."

I was raised moving between Okinawa and Osaka Prefecture. My earliest memories learning how to read I had read The Nightingale, A Thousand Paper Cranes and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Nausicaä was the first series I read ENTIRELY by myself and my reward was getting to watch the film. To this day that film still brings back very fond memories as reading had been a monumental challenge for me.
