Living in England, I'm not really exposed to most anime (we only just got Naruto about three weeks ago!). The best stuff that they currently play over here are Naruto and Avatar. I dunno if anyone else here is into Avatar. I also love outlaw star and cowboy beebop.

personally, my favorites are cowboy bebop, if you like that then you should watch samurai champloo, god some scenes in that anime actually gave me shivers it was soo good. Also give Berserk a shot, it's old but a classic, if you can get your hands on the manga is good shit!if i knew how i'd upload some hajime no Ippo (The Fighting Ippo) also a good one. I'd do it also for One piece as well. I probably need to get permission from the fansubs to eh?

YO!! i cant believe nobody mentioned Eureka 7. Adult swim just started playing it rather recently and i was skeptical at first then i downloaded all 50 episodes which made me even more skeptical ( longer series seem to me to be kinda strung out and thin on character developement ) BUT ITS CRAZY GOOD!!

Its freakin Dragon Ball Z for girls lol

inuyasha is dbz for girls? i think its more like... fushigi yuugi for kids (until later in the series, when everyone starts killing people off, just because they can, and have neato weapons)mixed with dbgt (unlike z, gt was almost entirely filler, and had very little to do with the actual story per episode, making it pointless to watch all of them, as you could be just as stimulated watching compilations, reading about it, and the last 10 or so episodes).

those kinds of animes (i deem them "Sailor Moons") where enemey after enemy, getting stronger and stronger, but never really changing a whole lot, come after the protagonists, all under the command of 1 uber-hardcore antogonist. theres usually some love involved, and tom-foolery, but rarely is there anything meaningful in any given episode, until late in the series.

i hope every day that i will finally get bastard! and berserk into anime, more than just the first arc of each. (well, first arc chronologically, for berserk). sadly, its doubtful to ever happen, so i have to get a lot of money, save up like 1000 bucks, buy all of berserk, bastard, sin city, and frank millers other stuff, spawn, and some of the best spiderman stuff.

i really am a true nerd. hail to the nerd, baby!

I was angry the day they took Mad Max off the air and replaced it with Sailor Moon.

Woot for Sin City and Evil Dead

When i made my first post about longer series not having character developement i was lazy and did not really explain, or even suggest really what i was trying to say... thanks Zarathustra b/c what i meant was to say that character developement in longer series is there but it seems forced instead of natural. which is what up until Eureka 7 i havnt seen in longer series. what i mean by this is that the character developement seems to come in stages. Each stage is begun by a cataclysmic event such as the death of a main character or the realization of some shocking truth of fact. For example ill use inuyasha ( I like to be philisophical this could get difficult to understand lol to much bob marley lol). In inuyasha character develpoment happens in 2 different types of stages "Sub stages" and "Main Stages". A sub stage of character develpoment is how lets say inuyasha matures after evry little encounter with a random demon that gives him sum what of a run for his money and lasts about 3 episodes ( small amount of maturity almost non existant but deffinitly there). A Main stage is evry time a monumental occurence in the series happens for example a new character is introduced such as miroku or songo. The point of all this is without really studying or knowing the series you can easily draw a diagram of it ( i personally dont really like inuyasha).
But in Eureka 7 i couldnt draw a diagram as easily as inuyasha although if i watched the series 2 or 3 times i might be able too it would not be as extensive as inuyasha or as easy to understand if you understand all that please point me in the direction of somthing similar to Eureka 7

Keep it up Logain. Anime is like crack. It'll hook you and never let go. If I go a couple of days without watching any, I go through withdrawals.
