Really? I loved it at first, but by trenching half of it in both anime and manga forms, I was loathing it.
I think it really bungled the potential of the characters and plot, going for cheap shock and gore instead.
But that doesn't mean it inherently bad, just that I personally ended up disappointed by it.

Then again, my tastes are weird and diverse as hell; I LOVE the Berserk manga AND I've yet to meet another male anime fan personally that shares my love of Kaleido Star.

To each their own.

Zeta Gundam. On a macro level, it's an epic scale war that pits the A.E.U.G. and Karaba against a corrupt peacekeeping organization known as the Titans. But on a micro level, it's Kamille Bidan having to deal with the horrifying realities of helping the two rebel organizations earn back Earth and the space colonies' freedom from the Titans, like having to either lose or kill off potential friends and allies.

I got my first taste of anime back in elementary school when One Piece and Naruto aired on the Cartoon Network and 4Kids!. It was also around this time that I began to watch Yugioh and Pokemon a lot too. This interest though was fleeting and it wasnt until 7th grade or so that I really started to get into anime.

Now when I first started I began with the shonen of course, Naruto and the Shippuden mainly. After I finished those I migrated to more broad titles, Rosario + Vampire, Blood+, Death Note, Full Metal, Cowboy Bebop, and Samurai Champloo were some of my first favorites.

Now onto my absolute favorites anime to date: Sekirei, The Tenchi Muyo Series as a whole, and as of now Boku No Hero. Some of you may disagree or simply say that two of my picks are because of the fan service. While it is true that Sekirei and Tenchi Muyo fall into the ecchi harem genre that is so polluted with stereotypes and redundancy today that one can watch a single episode and know how the whole show pans out. One thing though that sets Sekirei and Tenchi Muyo apart is the characters. They arent flat people. There is development and the themes of the show help progress that development. Both of those shows rely on showing what it is like to be a family and what it is like to find love and what you would do to protect it. Boku no Hero may not focus around love, but the development that the characters experience is also centered around the question that All Might poses everyone: "What does it mean to be a Hero". This is something that means different things to each person so every character is unique as they all have their own interpretations.

Anyway those are my favorites and why. Hope you all enjoyed my post.

My first anime was Star Blazers waaaay back in the day and I continue to have a nostalgic attachment to it. Though I'm seriously at Voyager Entertainment for ruining any chance of a legitimate region1 release of the Yamato remakes.

Recent Favorites: My Hero Academia, Konosuba, Beautiful Bones, The Ancient Magus Bride, Ushio & Tora tv series.

All time favorites: Cowboy Bebop, Azumanga Daioh, School Rumble, Louie the Rune Soldier, Magic Knight Rayearth, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Figure 17. Also, the first Project A-ko, the R.O.D. OVA's and the Little Witch Academia OVA's/short films.

Kill la Kill, I love the art style, characters, score and the action. I could watch that series over & over.

Re:Zero, this show was banana's for me. It seriously had me wanting more and damn near banging my head against a wall.

Blood Blockade Battlefront, another amazing show with fun characters, appealing visuals and great score.

Good Luck Girl, this is in here because it's probably my favorite comedy. Love the characters in this and I had a lot of laughs.

(Honorable mentions) Mob Psycho 100, One Punch Man, Akame ga Kill, Tokyo Ghoul, Guilty Crown, High School DxD, Death Note, Soul Eater and High School of the Dead.
