I vote for Clannad. Why? The combination of little jokes and senseless humors plus the ever dramatic story and different characters makes the story relative to its audience's tastes. Even the simple anecdote the story gives are so touching that you could sense life behind the scenes (=
I second Kanon, the story and the theme are both great. But as the title dictates, the plot somewhat repeats the melody in different pitches or tones. Yet it so romantic that it certainly one of the best.
I third Air, I've watched it before but I always think that something is missing in the plot but the story is great so it must not be tto far behind from kanon.

AIR is my favorite, mostly because it has the best ending of any anime I've seen.
CLANNAD comes in second, for humor, story, and characters.
Kanon takes third. While I liked it, it always felt kind of bleak, and dreary. Still a good anime none the less.
A note: It wouldn't be studio Key, they don't make the anime. They make the games, and so far KyoAni has been adapting them into anime. Key does help with the script I think, though.
