Surgery saves people in numerous cases so I think its right in a way, but in cases like plastic surgery, all I'll say is its unnecessary.

What if the person was physically disfigured? Do you think it's ok then?

I personally think a little plastic surgery is ok, but a lot of people do go overboard.

I personally have never had any kind of surgery. I haven't ever really gotten hurt that bad, worse thing that ever happend to me would be a sprained ankle.

To the above... I don't consider being fat physically disabled by the way. What I mean is people who were born that what and cannot fix what is wrong with them without surgery.

Well I have had surgery to help fix a physical problem. It was my eyes basiclly the muscles that moves them partily disconnected so i couldn't control where I looked. I had a surgery at 7 years old. What I remember is I was put to sleep and like 4 hours later I woke up with swollen and irriated eyes.
It was irriated and bloodshot for about 3-4 weeks.

i had a tumor removed. it was coincidental that they found it when they were operating me because of my appendicitis.
before i was knocked out, they gave me drugs to ease the pain. man, that was bliss. i was talking to a blue, bald man before i lost consciousness.

recovery was painful. my stitches would open when i laughed too hard!
for 3 days i only drank sips of water, no solid food. my internal organs were still sleeping from the anaesthesia. XD

I had surgery. It's usuallly something done as a final resort to save someones life, and my case was no different. I had been suffering from abdominal cramps for quite some time and my GP advised me that I would one day need surgery to combat this problem. I clearly remember the surgeon professionally placing the anaesthetic over my face in the form of a handkerchief doused in what I believe was chloroform. Then I fell unconcious. When I woke up I was still lying in the alleyway where my impromptu operation began, with some kind of plastic wrapping filled with some fluids lying on the concrete next to my clothes. I couldn't sit down for a while after that, but my problems were solved! Such is the magic of modern medicine

I've never had surgery but have been in the surgical room during procedures when I was in nursing school. It was intresting but I prefer post op. My friend had a boob job oww she was in major pain and I stayed with her at her house to make sure she was okay.
