Before i start, i would like to make it clear that I AM NOT AN ANTI CHRIST!. I just found out about some info that i found interesting

Lucifer is a name frequently given to Satan in Judeo-Christian belief because of a particular interpretation of a passage in the Book of Isaiah. More specifically, it is supposed to have been Satan's name before being cast out of heaven.

In Latin, the word "Lucifer", meaning "Light-Bringer" (from lux, lucis, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring"), is a name for the "Morning Star" (the planet Venus in its dawn appearances). The Latin Vulgate version of the Bible used this word twice to refer to the Morning Star: once in 2 Peter 1:19 to translate the Greek word "Φωσφόρος" (Phosphoros), which has exactly the same literal meaning of "Light-Bringer" that "Lucifer" has in Latin; and once in Isaiah 14:12 to translate "הילל" (Hêlēl), which also means "Morning Star". In the latter passage the title of "Morning Star" is given to the tyrannous Babylonian king, who the prophet says is destined to fall. This passage was later applied to the prince of the demons, and so the name "Lucifer" came to be used for Satan, and was popularized in works such as Dante's Inferno and Milton's Paradise Lost, but for English speakers the greatest influence has been its use in the King James Version for what more modern English versions translate as "Morning Star" or "Day Star".

we got some amazing mis conception of him.... this info goes longer but i cut it down so that it wont be too long. Amazingly, Lucifer in our normal understanding would be a horrible figure that ruled the underworld... but aparently, he wasnt like that originally.
One of the most amazing images of love that I know is Persian – a mystical Persian representation as Satan as the most loyal lover of God. You will have heard the old legend of how, when God created the angels, he commanded them to pay worship to no one but himself; but then, creating man, he commanded them to bow in reverence to this most noble of his works, and Lucifer refused – because, we are told, of his pride. However, according to this Muslim reading of his case, it was rather because he loved and adored God so deeply and intensely that he could not bring himself to bow before anything else, and because he refused to bow down to something that was of less superiority than him. (Since he was made of fire, and man from clay.) And it was for that that he was flung into Hell, condemned to exist there forever, apart from his love.

shocking... if this is what really happened, i think God was a little bit too cruel

This history is not in the Bible. And it doesn't make sense, Satan wanted to take God's place.

i'll come back to this when i have time sorry!!! but all i have to say for now is that this stuff isn't recorded in the Bible and a little hard to fully believe. Also Christians shouldn't easily follow anything that isn't in the Bible. Especially stuff from other religions like Islam or Muslim readings...don't believe everything you hear or read.

Lucifer was known to be one of the most beautiful beings in the universe and that definitely doesn't mean that he's as horrible and ugly as people make him out to be...From what I've learned, Satan thought himself to be better than God and wanted the same glory that God receives...Never put God in a box. He's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ets. stronger/wiser than what we could ever imagine him to be. There's no way that he could be too cruel .

i'm pretty sure that this is a repeated thread btw....i'll check on that too later.

Well, this isnt a repeated thread i can tell you that

And besides, I dont read the Bible. After all, it may have been written by the chosen ones but thats thousands of years ago, there might have been alterations. I base my faith on God on faith alone.

And another thing, the thing that shocked me the most is, why did the writers of the Bible used the name Lucifer for the most evil being in the Bible? Lucifer literary means "Light Bringer"... doesnt that contradict the fact that he is the one that lure us into damnation?

Lucifer was a seraphim, a high-ranking angel, he was in charge of music, I did a study on him a while back, if/when I can go into his character more in depth. But the highlights, he wanted power, he wanted to sit on God's throne, he took a 1/4 of the angels with him. He is not in hell, yet. And he is on par with Michael the arc from my understanding. I'll get back to you on this. Good topic btw...but I think wikipedia mislead you a bit.

It was 1/3 of the angels. And Michael is stronger, he was sent by God to fight for Moses' body (Jude 01:09) and to help another angel (Daniel 10:13) against Satan.

Satan is not going to Hell, he is going to be thrown into the Lake of Fire alongside the Hell (Revelation 20:10-14)

People go to Hell:

Luke 16

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

And Abraham was a rich man too, but he was not sent to Hell.

Satan is going to Hell. That is his destiny. People who are not born again and forgiven of sins go to Hell. It doesn't have anything to do with your status on earth, what it depends on is the status of your heart. If we are forgiven of sins through Christ Jesus then we are written in the Lamb's Book Of Life and will inherit the Kingdom of God (Heaven) Hell is an everlasting torment. Matthew 13:50 “furnace of fire…weeping and gnashing of teeth” Mark 9:48 “where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched” Revelation 14:10 “he will be tormented with fire and brimstone” Matthew 25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels

Anyone who rejects Christ and remains in sin will go to Hell. No exceptions.

You know I dont care how many of the angels. Other than 400,000 bond in the pit. Satan at the end of the tribulions will be bond and cast in to bottom less pit, at same time. The anit-christ and false profit will be cast in to lake of fire at that time. After 1,000 years satan will be lose for a while (In which time causes more problems for man) and then him, death and hell will be cast into the Lake of FIRE. Then comes the great white throne judment. And more are cast in to the lake.

This is too bad. even if there were slight alterations in the Bible, it's still the living breathing word of God. The Bible is our instruction manual for life and reading it is one of the main ways to get closer to him. A Christian who isn't rooted and built up in the word of God (the Bible) is going to have many difficulties when they go through tough times. I really really encourage you to read the Bible Bujujutko! Even though there maybe be minor changes during the translation of the Bible, it definately is a Christians best friend. Anything that God ordains to be sacred will be kept sacred throughout the ages no matter what happens...

haha wikipedia is totally not a reliable source . Anyone can write any nonsense on there for everyone to read~ If i wanted to I could post something about aliens invading Santa's workshop and anyone could read it....ok...bad example?

Lucifer also tempted Jesus in the New Testament and even asked him to bow down and worship him...he isn't a light bringer for sure..Who exactly goes to hell? People who haven't accepted Jesus as their personal saviour and those who have turned their backs on God go to hell. Sad story but everyone gets a chance to repent but few take the opportunity .

Proverbs 30:5 " Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him"

Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

2 Corinthians 11:14"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light."

GOD DOES NOT CHANGE Malachi 3:6 " I the Lord do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed."

James 1:17 " Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

2nd Timothy 3:16 & 17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

this site is very helpful by the way if you want to learn more but ALWAYS be wary and check EVERYTHING before you chose to believe it ^_^ http://ldolphin.org/gangels.html
