Um, i found this website w/c gives out some info about many Bible topics...here's what it says about Satan:

Where did sin begin? With the devil. It's in the Bible, I John 3:8, NIV. "He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work."

How long has the devil been a murderer and a liar? It's in the Bible, John 8:44, NIV. "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

Where did Satan come from? It's in the Bible, Revelation 12:7-9, TLB. "Then there was war in heaven; Michael and the angels under His command fought the Dragon and his hosts of fallen angels. And the Dragon lost the battle and was forced from heaven. This great Dragon-the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world-was thrown down onto the earth with all his army."

Was Satan created sinful? No, he was created perfect, with freedom to choose. It's in the Bible, Ezekiel 28:15, TLB. "You were perfect in all you did from the day you were created until that time when wrong was found in you."

What led to Satan's downfall? It's in the Bible, Ezekiel 28:17, TLB. "Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor."

Satan, known as Lucifer before he sinned, wanted to be equal with God. It's in the Bible, Isaiah 14:12-14, TLB. "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! For you said to yourself, 'I will ascend to heaven and rule the angels. I will take the highest throne. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High."

In contrast to the pride and self-exaltation of Satan, what spirit did Jesus have? It's in the Bible, Philippians 2:6-8, TLB. "Who, though He was God, did not demand and cling to His rights as God, but laid aside His mighty power and glory, taking the disguise of a slave and becoming like men. And He humbled Himself even further, going so far as actually to die a criminal's death on a cross."

Satan's supernatural forces are waging a war. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 6:11, TLB. "Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan."

Satan is a defeated enemy. It's in the Bible, James 4:7, TLB. "So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you."

Uhmmm...just curious...where in the bible can I read about the time Satan was cast out from heaven along with the 1/3 of the angels? Please tell me! I'm just a Baby Christian so I don't know much about the bible yet...just started reading...again...

Revelation 12:4 - And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Sorry I thought that Lucifer not being in hell yet was common knowledge.

"How art thou fallen from heaven
O day-star, son of the morning! (Helel ben Shahar)
How art thou cast down to the ground,
That didst cast lots over the nations!
And thou saidst in thy heart:
'I will ascend into heaven,
Above the stars of God (El)
Will I exalt my throne;
And I will sit upon the mount of meeting,
In the uttermost parts of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the Most High (Elyon).'
Yet thou shalt be brought dow to the nether-world,
To the uttermost parts of the pit."
- Isaiah 14:12-15

(speaks of Lucifers fall)

The time – At the fall of Satan, many angels followed him in that rebellion (demons are fallen angels). A third of the angelic host seem to have fallen with Satan (Rev.12:4 – the imagery of Satan as a “dragon” and angels/demons as “stars”) (bible.org)

I hoped that cleared some things up, Revelation is a hard book to understand, I have done 3 studys in Revelation, and I still feel like its all new everytime I read it.

Here is a ranking of the angels from the Lutheran church: (Satan was originally a cherub)

Cherubs: Also called seraph, which means “burning one” (Is. 6:2-7) and “living creature” (Rev. 4:6-9)
Caveat: The Order of angels is conjectural, and, in part, based on Colossians 1:16 and Romans 8:38:

I hope we cleared things up for you! But seriously read your Bible!!! It's the first baby-steps every Christian needs for growing closer to God! It concerns me that you take matters into your own hands and ignore God's word..

Blah blah blah... Yes, Lucifer was good. He was in charge of worshiping God. One of the big four. But what happened? He got jealous and wanted to be God. Fast forward, he is THE fallen one. The one who fell from heaven and is cursing God from sunrise to sunset and back again, 24/7/365.

Blah Blah Blah? We are giving an account of what we read, and what we believe. I favorite teacher of mine once told me "Know your demons name", she was referring to what I struggle with in English but let's take it's direct and literal meaning.

If you do not know your opponent you will undoubtedly lose, because he knows you. If you do not know his tricks he will....trick you...Satan is the master of manipulation, so don't dismiss what we say completely. For instance did you know that the devil knows the bible? GASP* and he can use it in his favor and try and decieve us.
