It is cruel. I wouldn't really do it, to be honest. It would be just the same as hijacking another adult human being and stealing their organs. It makes me think of Repo Men (the movie) a little, actually.

Any influential leader. So I can kill off the original and control the puppet-head from the background, as a result orchestrate things in a way I envision them.

In that way, I'd be able to follow my ideals and ambitious visions to the letter. I'd rather clone a political leader of a powerhouse nation then anyone insignificant on the global scale.

I would clone a hundred of myself and my clones would clone a hundred of themselves and so on and so on. We would also have a hive mind like the Borg. Individuality will not be lost. We will be just sharing each others thoughts. That would be so awesome since I can be anywhere where my clones are.
