I feel really lame going to my first con at the age of 24 ~kyo20
Nothing wrong with the age! I went to my first con, Tekkoshocon 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA, at the age of 25 . My brother, who also attended with me, was 33 and it was his first. Just go and have fun, fun, fun!

My first con (which was more like a comic con than an anime con) was Syracuse Heroes Expo 2008. I cosplayed Minatsuki Saya the first day (made out of a bedsheet!) and Skuld the second (with a $3 Wal-Mart wig >_<)
It was a fun first-con experience as it was really small scale so I got to mostly just hang out with a bunch of cool people. I have a lot of friends that I met that con ^_^

I'm 29, and this past Ohayocon [2010] was my first con...nothing wrong with starting a little late! ^_^

My first con was Katsucon and I was probably 15 or 16, I don't remember what year it was but I only went to see Psycho le Cemu.
My first REAL convention that I spent all three days at was the same year, to Otakon.
