The smiling face of evil.
Posted 5/20/08
This is so far the one of the most disturbing person I read about:

This pleasant young Palestinian woman, Ahlam Tamimi, helped burn children alive in the Sbarro pizzeria in 2001 in Jerusalem, Israel. And they were not collateral damage. They were the target. And she says: "I'm not sorry for what I did." She was sentenced to sixteen life sentences or 320 years which she is serving in an Israeli jail. Fifteen people were killed and more than a hundred maimed and injured by the actions of this attractive person and her associates.

We are taught in childhood and movies that evil is unattractive, ugly, rude, hostile, bad-tempered, friendless.
But this is what evil really looks like. Starry-eyed, idealistic, charming, as it puts children into the ovens.

the person was not evil...her actions were...so it is still true that evil is unattractive, ugly, rude, hostile, bad-tempered, friendless.

she's sick in the head.. i've learned in my psych classes that some psychopaths/sociopaths don't really look like the ones portrayed by the media. some or most of them tend to look and act charming just like that lady. that's part of their act so they can do what they want. what's creepy is that they don't feel any remorse.

You telling me you can't see something hiding behind that smile? Like a smile itself is but a mask for more cynical and sadistic persona? I mean, look at it - it's so fake.

Any ideas on her reason why he did it? Horrible yes, but why did they bother sentencing her to 16 life sentences? Not to say it won't be satisfaction for the families of the unfortunate victims, with whom I empathize, but really - save for that I serves no purpose and is definitely and overkill (no pun intended).

i think the sentancing is more to give a nod to each of the individual children she killed.

if they gave her one sentance for one child, and then stopped because she wouldnt be alive to serve the rest, the other parents might not feel as though they have closure. its a way of recognizing legally each individual death as a seperate and equally important incident.

she should be tortured and buried alive
those poor kids
how can people do that to children who are innocent

She deserves the life sentence...Even if it won't help the families, at least her psychotic mind will stay behind bars and inside 4 walls..........................

What's burning children gotta do with anything in life??? It's just creepy and awful

Don't get me wrong, I'm all up for her getting the sentence for each child she's killed, but when I see how other people get lesser sentence for, relatively saying, "worse" cases of murders (like serial killers with 10+ brutally killed victims on their hands) and then compare that to this case this definitely seems like it was going over the top for not only parents sake.

i dont know, most serial killers i know of (not know lol) have been given multiple life sentances that they could never actually serve

^^they had to sentence her to 16 life sentences because she killed 15 children and injured many others.. it may seem an overkill but that's what the law gives as a punishment and i believe it serves a purpose. you have to consider the number of lives she has taken instead of looking at it as one massacre deserving only one life sentence.
