I also love visual kei bands and oshare kei bands. For oshare kei I like LM.C the best and for visual kei I'd say.... An Cafe....probably..though I am not sure since I haven't listen to it much nowadays...

there both oshare..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAFSqBGmllE thats visual kei, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKmG1tonhS8 thats visual kei, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Beujgb0OBeY thats visual kei, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xOt1As-JeI that is not...not to mention it sounds horrible, its some soft rock crap with cross dressers...

Oh I see... anyways I like oshare kei more than visual kei anyways it's just that I don't really listen to much visual kei so that means that I know very little visual kei bands but anyways thanks for the info.

Malice Mizer's Tetsu era is probablly my favorite Visual Kei thing ever, then comes X Japan, love Luna Sea and Kuroyume to, I'm mostly into old bands, new bands are just as crappy as American Nu-Metal crap...

Bingo. The last good VK band I tried was Versailles. However, they suffered the same fate as Moi dix Mois and became rather repetitive after a few tracks. They're still interesting with their blend of Neo-Classical riffing and solos, Power Metal drumming and Symphonic Metal soundscape though.

I like Versailles to, but I seriously think Hizaki should of stayed solo and brought us more stuff like Race Wish and Lunar Eclipse, seriously Lunar Eclipse is almost as epic as arpeggios from hell.

Visual Kei has become one of the examples of what's damaging music right now. First it started as a way to attract fans with a different style from what people were use to seeing in Japan and it has not changed. All most of these bands seem to do is look "cute" to attract female fans and sell more albums that way. I have to admit that my favorite band WAS a visual kei band but no longer are and I started liking them for the simple fact that even when they were visual kei there songs had meaning and depth.

I love them both, visual-kei and oshare-kei.

Visual-kei: L'Arc~en~Ciel, Alice Nine, the GazettE, Miyavi, Nightmare / Naitomea, Gackt, Kannivalism

Oshare-kei: An Cafe, SuG and LM.C

...or is LM.C visual? I'm not really sure. Alice Nine looks somewhere-in-between too... L'Arc~en~Ciel and Gackt doesn't look too much visual-kei nowadays...
