I'm rather partial to purple (in general, in fact), even though it's usually a dead giveaway that there's something unusual about a character. Gold gets used alot, although my favourite character with such eyes is Death the Kid...although his eyes are actually coloured bright yellow in the anime, and somewhat darker in the manga.
