do you think science can eventually answer questions dwelling on the existence of God?

if i can do an investigation, why not?
I hate the idea of leaving a question unanswered if i am capable of filling it up.
It is a good way to put an end to such question.

to a certain extent, yes, because there are some things that science cannot explain, for example, the creation of the universe. science has proven that the big bang theory is accurate, but it is left with the question of where that single point of explosion or whatever came from... so maybe that question is actually the "answer" to the existence of God or a higher being, that one thing that is just unexplainable.

*sigh* this thread reminds me of my philo classes in college. we discussed about the existence of God and the "fool" who says God does not exist, but speaks of God. hehe the point is, if for a person, God does not exist, then he should just shrug the topic aside and not speak at all. because from the moment he says, "God does not exist", then he has just contradicted himself.. argh. i'm babbling. i just miss my college days :)

I prefer for things to remain the same. I'd rather not have an inner battle within myself if this higher entity was proven to exist. (-_-")

To quote Albert Einstein, ""Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."

Maybe one day, it could be possible. But, it is quite obvious that deep and loyal God believers will still probably believe in god.

i think this thread should be close because it will ONLY provoke flaming and spamming by religious RADICALS
such as EDSAMAC2 and i don't want GOD to be insulted or discussed in a negative way because it will hurt us believers

Thank you

God is beyond science.

I'm open to the possibility that God may exist but as of now, I've lost my faith in God. I've questioned the words of God many years ago when I was still Christian, I won't believe in something blindly due to the fact that I've been blinded by wisdom many times and I won't allow myself to make the same mistake. Unfortunately very few people can give me a real straight-forward answer to anything, they just beat around the bush, or the answer makes no real logical sense and is completely one-sided reasoning. Again... I'm open to the possibility that God may exist, I just have no reason to believe in something that seems like a figment of somebody's imagination.
