Since he died in the first season but his body was never found and in the second season he appeared in front of Eigetsu... what do you think happened to him?

I think he survived and am awaiting the episode where his disapperance is explained

Well, that's one of the burning questions... isn't it. He could be dead, but that wouldn't explain how Eigetsu got untied. I don't think that question will be answered in awhile.

While I'm at it, I should mention that Sakujun looks far better in the novel's illustrations than in the anime, hehe.

Well I think it was just the spirit of Sa Sakujun that appeared in front of Eigetsu, since this anime shows a lot of spirits and the like . And I do hope there would be an episode explaining the mysterious disappearance of his body^_^

I once thought Sa Sakujun was part in a way of the Hyou Clan O.O, But i Believe he is still alive, he couldnt have disappear like that plus i think shuurei liked him lol

Well, I think everyone who has followed SaiMono up to now knew that it was Sakujun who unfastened Eigetsu's chains back in the Eigetsu arc... the time when he's prisoned...
It's still unclear whether Sakujun's alive or not, but the good thing is that he's helping others now.
Also, to anyone who doesn't know, Sakujun appeared again shorty after his appearance to Eigetsu, just as Shuurei was left alone in the cave. She fainted and it was Sakujun who brought her to a place where the others (Seiran and company) would easily find her.

i would say that he still is alive. "No death body is seen then the person is alive unless the scrip will be change killing him instead. though i like sorrow endings in short I like to end differently not always a happy ending. Hehehe... Sorry for does who wants it to end happily. javascript:void(0)

I kinda like Sakujun. he helped shurei alotand shurei was mean to him . ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT!!!
anyway since his body disapeard in first season, I dont think he died someone most have saved him.( we'll have to see if there is third season to put some explanation to it )
but I kinda wished shurei would hurry up and choose someone already. its getting one toomany love triangles.

Um...well it's hard to say, Sa Sakujun did appear infront of Eigetsu but remember, Eigetsu was tired and exhausted from lack of food and water. So, it could've been a hallucination but it's also possible Sa Sakujun is still alive and untied Eigetsu. Also after Sa Sakujun appeared, the next thing Eigetsu saw was Kourin so it may have been Kourin untying him but Eigetsu was dellusional at that point and believed it was Sakujun.

Aaah i spent ages discussing this with someone on youtube and i still dont know!! Its really hard to say what happened to him. Alot of people say that hes dead and that he appeared before Eigetsu as a spirit, but it could have been Ryuuren or Kourin because they were there also and Eigetsu wasent in the best physical and mental state. I really want to see him come back and stir up Ryuuki and Shuureis love ^___^ It makes it more interesting and could test Shuureis love for Ryuuki. Plus hes a biishie... =]

After eigetsu was rescued from the cave.
I do know that when Sakujun was about to die back in Season 1, you know, at the tree where shuurei had left him to call for help, someone appeared in front of Sakujun and says he has been observing him for quite some time already. I can't be so sure if it's one of the enlightened ones...and maybe he granted Sakujun a second life, just like in the case of Eigetsu.
But I'm not that sure though. It's only a MAYBE.
