Um...because Eigetsu knew that Sakujun pretty much wasted his life for Shuurei, and Eigetsu always believed that it wasn't right to waste you life, you must live you life as long as possible and enjoy it. Also, Sa Sakujun really fit in, in that arc because that Hyou clan member who died used a pseudyom as Sa Sakujun so using Sakujun as a possible hallucination would make the series slightly more interesting because then you have the question: Is he dead? OR Is he alive? after all Sa Sakujun's body wasn't found when Shuurei came back with help for Sakujun. So, we'll have to wait and see. I'm not really sure if this answers your question though.

Kourin did not untie Eigetsu, he was already lying on the floor when she found him. I would like him to re-apper though, so far he's the only one Shuurei has had any romantic feelings for.

hhmm.., i think his the one untied eigutsu inside the tunnel..,
theres no one else there when he awaken..,
so maybe his still alve.., and will be shown in the nxt episodes

I think he's alive, somewhere...
but what I don't understand is Shuurei's relationship with him. she loves the emperor, but sakujun?

I couldn't agree more I was very suprised to seem him in the Second season. But I can't stop to love him, he is so mysterious and beautiful ^_^

After eigetsu was rescued from the cave.
I do know that when Sakujun was about to die back in Season 1, you know, at the tree where shuurei had left him to call for help, someone appeared in front of Sakujun and says he has been observing him for quite some time already. I can't be so sure if it's one of the enlightened ones...and maybe he granted Sakujun a second life, just like in the case of Eigetsu.
But I'm not that sure though. It's only a MAYBE.

maybe he's still alive and he's the one who gave the idea on how to lure shuurei by using the name senya because he still wants to get shuurei. and maybe the other sorcerers that vanished after getting jailed were the ones who helped him, and he acted as an accomplice to them to get to shuurei again.... and he knew shuurei wouldn't get killed because he knew that she's skilled. oh well.. i'll just wait for them to reveal it.

I think he's dead... but I was hoping that he an Shurrei would end up together. I don't really see her with Ryuuki or Seiran.

Shurrei will not end up with Seiran, he's more like her elder brother or something. There's no romantic feelings there. If there is a season 3, I think Sakujun will reappear, right at the moment when it'll cause more emotional stress for Shurrei.

Like, Shuurei has NEVER loved Ryuuki, romantically-speaking.
In fact, in Season 1, and up till now, she has only admitted to having feelings for one person - Sakujun, after hr had "died".

i dont know.... i think the one that showed up in front of eigetsu was his spirit or something... hehe,....

... despite of his attitude... i really like sakujun.... ... i hope he didnt die and continued to live a peaceful life.. but oh well... its not like im the one wo made the story... hehe... lolz...

The only thing I didn't like about Sakujun where those odd moments where he looked like he was wearing lipstick. I think guys in anime with lipstick/full lips look kinda weird.

i agree hehe..when i first saw Sakujun, i thought he looked like a member of X Japan in their Visual attire haha...

And i think he's the best-looking guy in the SaiMono world (Seiran too!!!!).
