I don't have any troubles with it..>.> Well I bought a sony vaio....<.< I like it..But I think that people who upgrade their computer which was made for XP or some other software will have troubles...it is better to buy a computer that was made for Vista...

Okay, I will shut my mouth now because I don't know that much about PC's..:x

there a fault with vista, such as the voice recognition software, people can hack you computer and control it using this software. fraud without even the need of a keyboard, this is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^WTF? never herd of that mate.

anyways the thread was made over a year ago...i'm sure if he had any problems then he would have been able to sort it out by now...

and the girl above...lol...if your pc isn't built for vista then i'm sure you won;t be able to install it anyways or run it properly...that guy is having trouble with his modem because i had the same problem...he needs to connect via ethernet, vista doesn't recognise USB modems.

not to bitch or anything...

Honestly, everything in Vista is just as, if not more so, easy as XP. I find most people complaining about Vista are using it on old computers. I use it on two laptops (relatively new) and it works a treat. The only letdown is the Pictures and Fax viewer equivalent doesn't play .gif files. My vista laptop boots faster than XP beasts too. Save the Vista upgrade to complement the hardware upgrade and driver support shouldn't be an issue.
Oh, and memory consumption is mostly intentional. The OS actually uses your spare RAM to cache programs to help load them faster, it doesn't just leave it unutilised.

I really dont see whats bad with vista, nothing wrong has happened to me beside oprea (web browser) crashing once in a blue moon and only that. Also majority of you lot dont even use vista or are just following the crowd, use it your self and find out. To the orginal poster you need an ethernet modem, usb ones wont work and make sure work ofline isnt ticked. BTW downloading ubuntu on my laptop aswell (its new, and fckin pwns) heard good things about ubuntu

hahahaha! serves you right for getting vista, it's so crap it can hardly be called an upgrade from XP. i say stick with XP if you've got it or download a free OS if you're computer literate enough or if your lazy and want a nice, easy point here click there OS fresh out of the box buy a mac. they're shiny too!
(almost to the point of annoyance in fact)
