It's a good anime because it has a little of everything: comedy, romance, action, suspence... Well maybe not so much romance lol! But you can imagine a lot of romance possibilities ^-^

Full Metal Panic was a series that had the best combo of action, romance and comedy in my opinion, but like I said in one of my previous posts, its a decent shounen and is pretty enjoyable. That's hardly a good promotion, but that's what it is, although they could pick up the pacing a bit.

bleach is only worth watching up to a certain point, that is, until the fillers start kicking in. after the fillers begin you really cannot survive so many episodes filled with crap and annoying characters (especially the main character). it will become very boring and dreary.

basically, if you like naruto you'll like bleach. but if not then please avert your eyes.

Oo no no
Naruto and Bleach are quite different o_o
Also Bleach never came to a point where I didnt want to watch it because it was too boring. The fillers werent as good as the main story but i still enjoyed it. Now that the original story has kicked back in it's once again an awsome anime.

I'm actually liking how Bleach the anime has handled itself. It stayed quite true to the manga with the few small additions (eg the addition of the Shinigami during the 1st Grand Fisher episode; sorry his name eludes me at the moment) that make sense and don't really affect the main plot too negatively, in fact I find they give the episode more detail and like in the recent Arrancar/Vizard arc (leaving the Mod Souls in the story, Nova rocks!) give it more to work with for the episode while giving some comedy relief. The animation and music are top notch too, and generally the voice actors are done with gusto and enthusiam, picturing the characters nicely. And I found they added the Bount filler and in general it was a good time passer and filling in as a filler should, not giving too much away to alter the manga plot (well maybe a bit too much odd development for Ishida...) or characters. English VAs are also coming along decently as I've met many other the years and they are putting the effort to make the character their own yet portray them well and have some semblances to the Jap. VA's job. Not perfect all the time but I find it one of the most consistant series I've watched, especially for one that has run so long like Bleach. And to think I wasn't sure of watching it with its weird name (right up there with Get backers, another fav of mine).

bleach was very well done and structured until it loses its touch halfway through rescuing Rukia that turned the anime into constant fighting and wot-not.
The sequence of fighting others and becoming evermore stronger gets really really repetitive especially in the Hollow's realm ( manga's story, anime nearly there). Skills and ingenuity of the character's abilities which was great before turns worthless as battles end up being a contest of pure power e.g. muscle over brain.

The manga's better(same case for almost every show out there). I don't watch it.

I just finished episode 12. Chad's cool.
So far I still like it, but I have a feeling Quincy's gonna get on my nerves.
I'm anxious to see how this series turns out...

oh, and I'm not sure I'll mind the fillers.
How long is the manga series in case I feel like reading it?

currently the manga is still on-going with 261 chapters. 233 of those 261 are released in 26 tankobon (volume) format in japan. i believe the latest volume released here in the US is volume 17.

Oi... I'm still watching Bleach at over 100 episodes and I'm not entirely sure why. The show moves too slow, most of the characters become uninteresting in the second season, and the second season is entirely filler. Plus they STILL have barely done anything with Kisuke's character, and he's the most interesting person in the show. But I keep watching anyway.
