Brazil did it, they are using ethenol. I do think that fossil fuels should not be used because alternatives are cheaper. but I do not think that global warming is something that man is causing. In fact, it seems that it is all coincidence. We had a cold year were I live, the oranges in CA froze (they say it hasn't gotten below freezing since the 70's I think) and a few years ago the crops in FL froze. Btw the glaciers near the south pole are growing which means that it must be colder there.

all of which mean the climate is out of whack. and the alternatives aren't widely accepted by the ignorant people of the earth also they aren't as easy use as fossil fuels.

Whether or not it is real, reducing pollution is always a good idea.

hm...global warming. i guess there' a lot we can do on an individual level...and if everyone is able to do it...it would totally help. so ya. don't use plastic bags...switch off the mains...walk instead of using the car. the small simple things can go a long way...!!

...I don't understand the whole debating if it is or is not real. It is. Kind of a fact, or something... I s'pose I've not done any research on it, but I'll come back after I do. Well, whatever the case I like the above quote. Cuz we don't realize how much effect little things can have on an environment. I've been taking an ecology class and I was shocked. A single farmer managed to completely destroy an environment by shooting hawks. (Apparently the were doing something to pester him and so he started killing them on sight. Eventually this caused the rodent population to sky-rocket. This made it so that these, the primary consumers, were too numerous to live off of the producers of the area. They ate too much. As a result of this other primary consumers began to die off as they failed to compete with the wildly numerous rats and mice. The farmer actually exacerbated things for himself because he could no longer free graze his animals.)

This being said, I think Global Warming is real but I don’t think we should be worrying so much about it. Honestly from the little I know about it, it seems like it will take centuries to have any profound effect on us. It’s ultimately negligible compared to some of the more direct damages we are doing to the world. Also, I think the EPA jumps the gun to often. There was some case where we were cutting some forest down but the EPA had everyone of the countless people employed by the operation let loose. They said that a breed of bird lived within that forest and could not survive anywhere else. Not that long after somebody stumbled across the elusive avian in a Walmart sign. All snuggled up and happy like. <(-_-)>Zzz

True that, here in the US, anywhere...... u see cars going on the road 24/7.... sometimes u just happen to wonder where all these ppl are going at the hour..... yes, we got hybrids and other fuel saving methods...... but its still not enough to make such a difference as to reverse the damage that has already been done..........

^ We do have plenty of hybrids coming out and a lot of cities are beginning to use electricity and chemosynthesis (I'm not sure if this is the correct term) for mass transportation.

I think the Growing Population count is also a major cause of Global Warming....
