University of Waterloo is a great Canadian University.
Id be wary of Ottawa University only because their programs tend to differ from the norm. It's not really a bad thing but It's not always the best personal choice.

I'm sorry to bring this thread back up, but I just got reminded of something.
Do you know if Singaporean colleges/unis randomly picks people around the world and broadcast that they received a scholarship from a university/college in Singapore? :S
About two years ago, my parents' friend who was visiting Singapore said she heard that "[my name] from Canada" received a scholarship in one of their universities.
I never applied, and I don't think anyone I know applied me. My friend got one too, and she's already in uni in another part of the world.
My name is kind of... not so common and I doubt that there's anyone else in this country with my name.
Of course, I first thought that it was a scam or some misinformation . It most likely is. But the fact that my childhood friend received one too..? (I never really confirmed if she received it in the mail though.)
While I'm pretty sure that it's not true, I'm still wondering if anyone else faced a similar incident and if this is common in Singapore, or any other part of the world. Pretend to give out scholarships to people that are likely never to hear about them and use the money for something else, perhaps? :\

I applied to Cambridge, Birmingham, Nottingham and Sheffield for Medicine (beginning next year)
I've had interviews at all of them appart from Nottingham, though I didn't get offers yet (I'm still waiting for Sheffield)
I applied to Nottingham again for BioMedical Materials Science, and got a scholarship! (and really easy entry requirements)
I also applied to Bath for BioChemistry and got an offer there, with quite easy requirements.

UK Uni's are generally pretty good, though they can be difficult to get into if you apply to over-subscribed courses (such as Medicine), also they have strange entry requirements, and I happen to fall between some of them, I am not truly international, being a UK citizen, however I have lived in Germany for the last 3 years. This means I never took GCSEs (except for French, which I took a year early), so glancing at my application it appears that I did GCSEs, but failed all but French. Additionally I am taking the IB, which is really fun, but horribly difficult. I am predicted 42-44 points (out of 45) which the admissions system (UCAS) consider equal to 6 A levels with an "A" Grade (the highest), however students can take a maximum of 5 A levels, and most take 3 or 4. This means I am majorly over qualified, however for some reason they don't want to take me!

N.B. for anyone applying to Canada; UBC is a great Uni, I know 3 people there who love it! Queens is also quite good apparently...

^ever heard of the University of Manchester in England? My teacher went there. He said that you can take a break from the exam, literally go home for an hour or two and reread your notes, then go back to writing the test. :\ not sure if they still follow that now.
just a note to anyone thinking of applying there.

Unless you're from the EU, when you only have to pay tuition fees, like everyone else...
Unis like overseas students, because they keep the Unis running, the Government doesn't pay nearly enough per student for some courses, eg. Medicine

I currently studying Architecture Technology at Huddersfield University in UK.
It not the largest or famous university in UK but it a great place to study quiet.

I wanted to go to Kent Institute of Art & Design is one of the UK’s largest specialist institutions offering courses including Architecture courses.
