Because of language barriers, people do not give effort to listen to music that they do not understand. Do you listen to music with lyrics you do not understand? Do you like it? Why or why not?

didn't find thread, pls delete if dupe :p

For me the music comes first, lyrics (if any) second. I've even listened to many English language songs that had nonsensical lyrics but the songs themselves were still terrific because the musical composition was good.

Yes. I listen to Korean and Japanese music, even though I don't understand a word of what they're saying. I also listen to Chinese and English, which I can understand. Music is a universal thing.

Yes I do listen to bands/music from all over (world). Music has no barrier to me, if it's good, it's good. If they are not or just generic I won't listen.
If I really like the band I will do my best to learn the language.

Japanese
