My favorite poet is Edgar Allan Poe. I love all of his poems. Well the ones I have read anyway. I also like poems from Walt Whitman. The poem I like the most is Oh Captain! My Captain! Who are your favorite poets?

My favorite poet is a brazilian one, Olavo Bilak, he writes amazing stuff in a incredible way!

From the american poets i just know a few but I liked Edgar Allan Poe and Robert Frost!!

I am not a big poetry guy, but i enjoy some!!

I don`t have a favourite poet but I have favourite poems .
I forgot the author and title but this is the poem .

" Written with a pen, sealed with a kiss,
if you are my friend, please answer me this:
Are we friends, or are we not?
You told me once, but I forgot.
So tell me now, and tell me true,
So I can say I’m here for you
Of all the friends I’ve ever met,
You're the one I won’t forget
And if I die before you do,
I'll go to heaven and wait for you,
I'll give the angels back their wings
and risk the loss of everything
There isn't a thing I wouldn’t do
To have a friend just like you. "

ahh yes we studied Shakespearean sonnets back in GCSE, I enjoyed them. Looks like I'm one of 'few' people

I also like Maya Angelou...man that girl had it rough but her strength is shown in her poetry.

Carol Ann Duffy. She's such a man-hater though. I like Shakespeare too, but I'm not too fond of Old English poetry.

i love
W.B Yeats his poetry is amazing theres history to them
my favorite poem of his : He wishes for the cloths of heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread upon my dreams.
