I know someone who is a hikikomori, i'm one of his very few friends. . . really very very few friends. . . some times i come to his house to borrow games. . he totally hates the outside world, never wants to go out except when going to a store or buying games. . he is supported by his brothers so he doesn't have any financial problems. . he secluded himself because of a traumatic experience in his childhood. . .

She is a hikikomori only.
Anyway, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei kicks ass.
But.. the OP asks for someone in real life.

I would be a hikikomori if it weren't for the anime cons that I attend and school.

I do have a friend or two who are kind of like hikikomori.

I'm on the verge of becoming a hikikomori. If it weren't for high school and anime conventions, I'd be inside 24/7.

Grrr you guys make me sound like I'm sorta alone on this except the one guy that talked about MMORPG's I'm a Wow (World of Warcraft) addict. I play it all day and never stop its depressing actually I guess you could call me a hikikkomori but I didnt know about it until I watched Welcome to the NHK today so i decided to look up some and information and discovered I was very similar to a Hikkikomori =( sorta depressing actually but recently I think my older brother discovered it and has been taking me outside in the day I usually go outside to the park but not very often but most of the stuff they say on the link on here for Hikikomories i think is very true I guess thats all I have to put cya.
