^^ I know what you mean. But speaking of rewiring plug wires, on small block Camaros, where the distributor is behind the water pump...book rate on it is a 6 hour job alone. I didn't have to do that, but a classmate of mine did, it looked like it sucked.

I'm attending Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska. I've completed a year, with another half a year to go...I'm going to be doing drivelines and engine rebuilds this upcoming quarter.
Aha what can I say, I like talking about fixing cars...aha.

I am an industrial design student who is attempting to get on the waiting list at Art Center for the transportation design field. As of lately I haven't had much time other than to help a friend with a motorcycle last year before I moved to Chicago. If I can get into Art Center it would be cool to be around an atmosphere that is heavy on the theme of transportation.

Good luck with that, Art Center is definitely the number one door into car design these days. I'm not a big fan of the design ethic they teach, though. I've known a few students/grads there, and they have a bit of a problem in that they really stress "different" over "good-looking".

As for me... I spend a huge amount of time with cars, although not as much driving lately, since I've shifted my priorities toward trying to make a career out of racing. I used to do tons of "underground" stuff, lots of canyons and drifting, stuff like that. Now my time goes to maintaining and building my race projects, trying to get sponsors, stuff like that. Not as much fun right now, but a lot more rewarding in the long-term.

Thanks Max. I've thought about other schools like College for Creative Studies. It seems each school has its own emphasis. My focus is more in line with user interaction and how to make things more ergonomic to inuitive.

Good luck with racing. It is very hard to get into. I tried doing it on dirt bikes but requires too much money. More than people think.

I used to work at Dodge as a service tech, so pretty much every day. That is when I also bought my first 240 so the weekends were spent playing with that. It got to be a headache dealing with other people's problems and the disasters they put their cars through. I do that enough on my own and had to squeeze in time for my own car soooo that didn't work out so well.

After that it was the constant cycle of driving the car and then having to fix something or work on it in some way every other week. I love driving, dislike problems lol

mostly driving, then fixing/maintaining/modding when sh!t happens , and the last percent would be washing. the finish is wasted and i park under a tree, so i gave up already.

I try to spend as much time with my car as possible. Usually around 2 or 3 hours a day. That could be either driving or working on it in my garage. I do like to make sure she is running well so I will usually cruise around for an hour or so also.
