well then everyones gotta admit its kinda fun to hear someone in the dub version when your used to the original version, especially when they get the proper voice for the character for the dubs. but it all really just depends on what you prefer and how reliable the subs are as well as how well the voices in the dubs sound.

The creator of this anime never intended it to be a reading program, you should only use subs if you have some sort of disability.

I'm extremely offended by you saying that. I feel like you're saying that everyone who watches something subbed has some sort of disabilities (though I know that's not what you mean) or needs a disability in order to watch something subtitled.

The creator originally intended the anime to be enjoyable, regardless whether or not you watch it with the original audio (with or without subtitles) or watch it with a dub.

Personally, I'm a subtitle person, even for shows that I'm watching in English. I have no disabilities what-so-ever; the subtitles just make the show more enjoyable for myself.

You entirely missed the point of what was said. I never said everyone has some sort of disability, you just took it the wrong the way.

This is why we have DVD's, there is a freaking option on there that lets you change the voices to Japanese and read subtitles.

Yes the original creator wanted us to enjoy his anime, just not on a FANSUB!! We're stealing his work and contributing NOTHING that lets him produce more enjoyable anime.

i am not TOO against dubs but most of the time i see anime where they don't choose the right kind of people to do the characters so the dubs usually end up bad.its good to see good dubs but stumbling on a horrible one with misplaced voices just hurts my ears....but seriously sometimes the dubs stress me out

it all depends on who is doing the dubbing because they are some terrible dubs in some good dubs

I've grown used to subs and I am fully able to take in the detail of what's being watched. Dubs and subs don't have to be perfect as long as you get the idea of the plot and characters. And I've seen some subs from legal DVDs I've bought that have had some cruddy translations. I'm pretty on and off with dubs, but NHK's sub was really well. Also, fansubs actually does some industries some favors by increasing the popularity and getting more people interested in buying products relating to it. I think whoever here starts preaching that fansubs are wrong, should probably start explaining why they're on a site where most of the videos are uploaded by someone through copyright infringement anyway. -_-

Ooh! Chance time! I could go on all day about why fansubs are horrible.

Also if you ask why I'm on this site, its cause I love making fun of people like this.

Fansubs do absolutely shit to companies, they don't contribute anything back. In fact, most people won't even buy DVDs of anime after they've seen it on a fansub. Cause they already got it for FREE!

I also love the fact that you said DVD's have cruddy translations. Fansubs have the cruddy translations, its only a group of 2 or 3 people that translate. Whereas big companies have a whole team working on translations. If they can't get it, THEY ASK THE FUCKING CREATOR HIM/HERSELF WHAT IT MEANS. I think it would be funny if a fansubber went to a creator to ask what it means, cause then they get arrested, legal issues, court, etc, etc.

Not everyone refuses to buy DVDs because the fansubs were free. I'm one of the people who will buy the DVD and manga if I enjoy a series enough. It's pretty simple: If it's worth watching, people support it. If it's not, it won't be supported on a large scale. I said some DVDs have cruddy translations (if you're gonna quote me, quote me right). If all you're doing is making fun of people, why not do something productive with your time like getting a job in advertising so you can try to sell your "fansubs are horrible" story. -_- I'm sure cursing at me on a public forum with no real argument is going to change my mind. Oh, I'm positively sure that'll happen.

Ok, instead of making fun of you I'll lay down the facts.

One primary example is One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. The 3 biggest shounen titles currently on air. I'm pretty sure you've seen a lot of fansubs, but did you ever buy any DVD's yet? Because their series are so long, people haven't even bought any DVD's yet!

Btw, I already have a job and purchase DVDs to support the dying industry. DVD sales are already down by 30% and gradually dropping. The Japanese government is starting to take action by implementing an Act of their own based on our Copyright and Infringement laws.

Btw, I still love it how you said DVD have the cruddy translations, looks like you didn't even read anything I ever said in the last post.
