ok, everyone has many dreams every time they fall asleep. one dream that would last a lifetime is just about 8 seconds of your brain manipulating your thought's....
lucid dreams is when the brain don't get a sufficient amount of this drug (called DMT)
and you start to wake up while your body is fully asleep. your brain starts working within that dream, and that might seem like an eternity.
and for those who hs the same dream over and over, your brain just has an dejavu of another time when that incident happened....
if you want one, one thing you can do is stay awake long enough and htne you fade away, your brain starts pumping DMT, you dream but you are not completly asleep.... well lucid dreams explained

Its weird because I think I have lucid dreams. Usually while I'm dreaming, and I know I am dreaming, I just... watch it if that sounds right. I don't usually control it although it is easy to control I just usually watch the dream through, until someone gobby shouts and wakes me up.

I think I've commented on this before. Only happened once for me, and it was the easier way to have one...where you eventually realize your in a dream, rather then going into a dream and having control.

I've read the first step at getting better at this is to improve dream recall. Mines pretty poor. Also, timing how long you stay awake, when to go to sleep, etc.

Uh, LeeMakihara, what do you recommend?

Try this website:
http://ld4all.com/ I know its weird and crazy looking, but there's alot of good info on there. That website really helped me out a lot. It's great for learning steps to Lucidity.

When I was little, I used to be able to realize I was in a dream and wake myself up whenever I wanted to (lol so if it was a good dream, I'd rather not wake up :D)...now I can't.

I suppose, but I don't usually remember what my dream is afterwards.......

i have had lucid dreams before, but i don't have them often. it seems whenever i sleep late i have lucid dreams, like on saturday mornings. i can't remember much, but i just go along with what i am dreaming, and i fly around a lot. i guess cuz flying is uber cool. the only lucid dream that i remember is one time i was in my school and there was zombies or something and then i realized i was sleeping. then i ran around killing zombies until my brother woke me up.

Wow, this is awesome! 8D
What always happens to me is that while I'm asleep, I "wake up" and start trying to wake myself up. It always scares me because it feels like I'm dead. I can't move or anything. I don't normally have lucid dreams though and ^ yeah it usually happens when I sleep too much
It would be so cool if I did though! Lucid Dreaming is awesome
I didn't even know the powers had names and stuff

This happens to me too. It's called "sleep paralysis" and scientists are pretty baffled by it because no real research has been carried out thus for. More than likely you actually are not awake, but dreaming that you're in your bed. Try calming yourself and looking at your surroundings, you might notice that they are not exactly as they are when you're awake. A digital clock will help. Look at the clock when you're "paralyzed" then look at it again when you can move, the numbers will be usually very different indicating that you were probably dreaming.

I feel for you though. It's not a pleasant experience.

I can realise when Im in a dream state. Like sitting in class in a dream wearing nothing but socks or something, I realise Im in a dream and start doing stupid things.

Im wandering how many of you relise you are dreaming while uncoinous. And are able to access some of your dream skills?

I do it all the time, and it's scary. I've had it happen only a few times while in a nightmare when I'm trying to wake myself up, but usually it's just me trying to wake up while in an unconsious state. I know I'm sleeping, but I can't wake up, I can't move or open my eyes, but it isn't sleep paralys because I can't see anything. I try to throw my body over, but it doesn't work. Eventually I'm able to wake up, but it takes awhile. This type of stuff happens when I'm falling asleep. I have no access to my dream skills.

i have those types of dreams alot. it gets to the point of where you cant figure out reality from the dream. whenever i am able to figure out that i am dreaming i have fun with it. the problem for me is when i take control of the dream i feel more tired than when i first went to bed. i guess that might be from exerting ones mind while asleep.

1. my brain uses my own knowledge(facts and real life info etc to increase the reality of my own dreams/nightmares) can be good to though, when I went into real death panic because of a nightmare once my brain noticed a flaw due to the lack of facts about a thing in the nightmare(in this case a tornado), when my brain realized it was a dream it woke me up, my body had reacted like it was a real, was overflowing with adrenaline, every muscle in my body was on the verge to cramp trying to protect myself against the supposed winds in the tornado, was just about to suffocate, took more then a day to overcome the death panicked fealing, still feels bad just thinking on it.

2. if I wake up I can continue the dream when I fall asleep again several minutes later or start daydreaming after I wake up I can continue the dream several hours later.

3: this one I'm not sure if it's something wierd with but I can daydream like I was sleeping, like it was a real dream even though I'm still awake, taking in both the dream and the real world seperate at the same time, they don't even disturb eachother, all I have to do is close my eyes, it's not like I start thinking about something or fantasies in my head but actual dreams.

4. because I'm able to go from dreaming in my sleep to daydream and back again to sleeping(continuing the same dream, if I want) I can also change the info, concept etc of my dreams(if I want to).
